It's not Oscar-worthy, but it is a performance. Who knows what actually happened, but she comes across so phony and contradictory, I'm not sure why anyone would believe her. Maybe her witnesses will help her side out. You're right. It's not really "survivor" anymore, and it's been pretty dull because of that. What's wrong with watching both documentaries and fun films? It's not a documentary. It's a fictional adventure. A parent can certainly teach their children factual history during their after-viewing talk. Sounds good. What would you rate it out of 10? And is it family friendly? I'm a grandma. Wow, it sure was. A true tear-jerker. Titanic had me screaming in my head for it to end already. True, but I don't think she really gives a "winning" performance, either. It's obvious she's new at signing and the script gets rather tiresome. How many times does she sing the same song over and over? Yes, very good visual and sound effects. I didn't see it as a "Star Wars" though, because it was somewhat hard to follow if one hadn't read the book. It was best of the Oscar noms I've seen, so far: Dune 6.5/10 CODA 3/10 Don't Look Up 6/10 Drive My Car 2/10 Nightmare Alley 2.5/10 West Side Story 3.5/10 Agreed. Are any of these characters supposed to be relatable in any way? Are they all supposed to be nuts? Wish I hadn't watched it. Odd. Uneven, robotic performances. Bizarre sexual content. Soulless. Could have been much more. 2/10 I don't know who Doomcock is, but I have a similar view that Star Wars was done with the prequels. I am still a fan of that story. <spoiler>Grogu chose the Mandalorian. It was revealed near the beginning of the finale in a less dramatic way than I expected.</spoiler> Finale: 2/10 To John Williams! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฅ‚ We'll never forget seeing him conduct a concert about 20 years ago. It was a glorious night. Good points. I used to think ROTJ Luke was just overwhelmed by it all. His father, jedi stuff, his sister. He was trying take it all in. I figured the confident, energetic, heroic Luke from Star Wars would return at some point. But he's dull, nutty, arrogant, and kind of mean. It's true.
