I think you got quite rattled with something that thwarted your delusional beliefs and then went searching for something to prove your nonsense and then came up with this lousy comment.
I know your IQ is a single digit number but am writing this for others who read this thread:
That scene starts with Teddy's eyes closing and ends with Teddy's eyes opening. So by this transition, we know its a dream. By the way, did you see any close up of Teddy's eyes opening before Cave Lady waking him up? No. Neither does that happen when he went to sleep.
This movie is going to Rock!
Probably the Queen laid some eggs when she boarded Sulaco and before attaching the crews. She was a smart bitch. Later when everyone went to sleep, the eggs may have sensed slow hearbeats/breathing and then released the facehugger.
Or we have to put Bishop in a grey area. Even though he was a good robot, he still had protocols and carried some egg samples for submitting to the company.
This is the best one can think of!
Absolutely agree with you!
^ Butthurt Idiot who's actually the desperate one to prove his delusional beliefs by ignoring clear logic. Your parents must've been repenting on your birth.
It's interesting that some viewers deliberately ignore subtle clues and movie making rules to suit their beliefs.
Ignoring the frame of reference may solve your purpose but not for sensible audience. Teddy was sleeping and not hallucinating. The camera was set to give 3rd person Point of View where we see Cave Lady waking Teddy up. This itself negates any chance of her being an hallucination.
What you're trying to say is that, whilst ignoring the POV (which idly in your case should have been with Teddy's eyes opening to reveal Cave lady waking him up), Teddy was dreaming about Cave Lady waking him up and that dream seamlessly turns into hallucination where he hallucinates the Cave Lady preparing to leave !!
The Twist was Mel Gibson's wife foresaw the future and indicated the action which Joaquin Phenix had to do; hence counting her contribution also to protect the family.
When Teddy started walking towards the orderlies with ready intent to get lobotomized without any retaliation & with no sign of his delusions and behavior of an investigating cop; And while seeing this Dr. Cawley didn't get surprised at all - itself proves that the doctors were evil.
If the doctors were not evil, Cawley could have figured that Teddy is faking his insanity and would have stopped the lobotomy.
But he let Teddy go for the lobotomy.
Ridley Scott's films improve with each rewatch.
With every viewing, the intricate details that define the characters and interweave with the plot become more evident, offering viewers a fresh and immersive experience.
You mean homework to predict sitting on Earth that the life creating Engineers changed their minds and made bio-weapons at that facility? You mean you wanted Noomi Rapace's character to be an Oracle?
Hahaha....^^ another idiot who missed that the scientist never removed his helmet before taming the snake.
You're missing lot of things. You should watch the movie and get your facts straight.
> It was a small snake and had no teeth & fangs. He wasn't a normal person but a curious biologist. Lack of proficiency was already discussed in my earlier post. Vickers wanted such scientists. So, in one way you are acknowledging the actions of the crews and the story's foundation.
> It was expressed not once but twice in the scene that the air is cleaner and much cleaner than Earth in the dome facility before Holloway removes his helmet.
> They got lost after they came back to the point where they had activated the mapping pods. The pods went and mapped further inside and hadn't mapped the exit route.
> In one particular moment, the Girls actually took a sharp 90 degrees turn but to their bad luck the ship too turned due to bad terrain. Watch the scene again and then comment. Rest of the time the falling debris were blocking them.
He was in a protective space suit. The characters of the movie are not aware that they are in an Alien movie universe and expect Acid blood. I mean imagining Highly Corrosive Acid Blood and tremendous strength (unlike Earth snakes) that can break an arm off is quite far.
It was because he was a biologist, he took peculiar interest. Even on Earth, biologists perform specific hand movements to tame a snake. He applied the same logic and was trying to take control and/or examine/study the snake. The other one was a Geologist; he was genuinely frightened and stayed back. Had he been trying to tame the snake - THEN THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A FLAW !
The scene is perfectly fine and remains true to the movie universe wherein cynical characters & human hubris is depicted.
About your query on how such cynical or rather strange, less-proficient scientists ended up in the mission. The answer is Vickers. She wanted the mission to fail. And she was the one who recruited. So it's OBVIOUS, that she wouldn't recruit whole-heartedly and rather select less-proficient people who were not so capable to provide leads to what Weyland was looking for.
I just don't get how people like you could be so retarded as to not get the facts right and realize that the OP is all wrong.
The Scientists never took off their helmets off while trying to tame the Hammerpede!
No, but you don't acknowledge the movie's shortcomings!
There are so many movies which I love watching over and over again but have serious flaws in them. And, only after considering those flaws, I rate them appropriately; will never vote straight a 10/10 blindly just because I like it! I have a rational thinking.
Now, don't just come up with 'every movie have flaws' kind of stuff! This movie is downright lame at many parts; the idiotic impractical Robot design to 'Love transcends space & time'!
Its 6/10 at its best. For fans like you, a 7/10 max to be generous. But nowhere near great movies to fall in Top 100!
Most of the comments here are wrong!
The Aliens empathized with her situation; saw how others treated her and alienated her because of one unintentional accident. The Aliens spared her and controlled all those humans in the town and had them blend with her, obey her and respect her. It was the Aliens' gift to her. We can she at the end how happy she was when she was dancing with the boy which she secretly liked - the one who didn't even acknowledge her when she waved her hand in the beginning.
Yes, Saw III is the best of the series. The most intense and with perfect pace and twists.
Watch the movie CAREFULLY again before you post anything.
The Chimp and Jupe had direct eye contact. Table cloth was hanging; but wasn't blocking both of their eyes. They clearly made eye to eye contact before they both fist-bumped.
Ben Kingsley (Dr. Cawley).
At the end, inside the lighthouse, Dr. Cawley brainwashed the vulnerable Teddy (who was at the peak of drug action) that he is not Teddy and someone else. He exploited the fact of anagram of the names of Teddy and his wife's killer (maybe he intentionally mis-spelled the words too!). Apart from that, Dr. Cawley didn't have any proof such as court orders, photograph of Teddy's dead wife, Mugshot of Teddy, Teddy's original Cop ID with his supposed original name, Newspaper clippings etc. Nothing.
During those days, there were such secret operations such as MK Ultra and Operation Paperclip which hired doctors to learn possibility of brainwashing people and which can be used during war.
But Dr. Cawley's experiment failed. At the movie's very end, Teddy started to come back to reality but knew he cannot escape the island. To discredit the Doctors, Teddy remarked 'This island makes me wonder, which is worse, to live like a monster or to die as a good man?' and opts for lobotomy. Here, he clearly refers the Doctors as Monsters - the Antagonists.
Cheers!!
