Well, I was curious enough to visit this board and see if anyone shared my opinion of this film. Your thread title is about as close as it comes. No, this film was not funny at all. Hey, to each his/her own. This was not only the worst Marvel movie ever (since Iron Man, they've all managed to range from good to great IMO -- except this one), but one of the absolute worst films I've ever seen. I hated this film from start to finish. I recently gave it a second viewing, expecting to like it a little more than when it first came out, but only hated it more. I found it mesmerizing from start to finish. Great film. One of the best examples of a real-life Spinal Tap moment: Back in 1997 U2 launched the POP MART tour. Part of that tour consisted of the band members coming out of a giant Lemon (look it up online it was really something -- a giant mirror-ball shaped Lemon!). The Lemon opened midsection and the band members would walk down the steps to a b-stage during the first encore. Trouble occurred one time however -- the Lemon wouldn't open on cue! The Edge was frantically inside the Lemon working on the mechanism trying to get it to open. In that moment, he reports all he could think was "I'm Derek Smalls!". Apparently U2 has a "Top Ten Spinal Tap moment." I am only aware of the one with the Lemon. (but what band on earth wouldn't have several Spinal Tap moments?) "It happened when they played Valle Hovin stadium in Oslo, Norway. The lemon prop experienced a technical issue which prevented it from opening, and some 40,000 people witnessed four shadowy figures sitting inside while the backing tape of the song started and kept playing throughout the song. The audience was not sure what to make of this and watched in awkward silence. After two hours of cowboy suits, muscle shirts, and an inexplicable karaoke sing-along with Edge, it was unclear to everybody whether shadowy figures pushing and banging at the walls from within a giant piece of fruit was part of the show. At the end of the song, the stage hands managed to get it open so that the band members were able to climb out of the back of the lemon. Some very warm band members stumbled out on stage, laughed, waved, drank gallons of water, and launched into the next song. That’s show business for you. U2 superfan Arlin Bartels has no defence for his heroes. “The lemon getting stuck – not once but several times – is definitely one of the more notorious points in U2 history. Even I nearly lost faith. In terms of Spinal Tap moments… yes. The Lemon probably takes 8 of of the top 10 U2 Spinal Tap moments" I'll go even further. The new trilogy are just really really bad films. As it happens, TFA is the worst by far. While the prequels suffer in some areas, I do like how they chronicle the rise of Palpatine as Emperor. Very well done. Not to mention, the prequels have isolated scenes that are very memorable and enjoyable, the fight sequence with Darth Maul being one of them as you suggested. Cooper found the missing "page" that Hawk mentioned earlier in the series. Depends on one interprets it of course. If it's a metaphor for the internal state of the mind, then the supernatural isn't required. However, the appearance of the supernatural might exist in that context. I've watched it around 20 times already. Can't get enough. Well it won't be good. The thing is, a virus cannot mutate unless a lot of copies get made. A lot of copies will be made with increased exposure and people passing it around to one another. This in turn make it more likely that none of the vaccines will work on the new strains. I understand the importance of getting businesses open, I've always been of the opinion if people would act responsibly and do the right thing most businesses could be open. But many people are not behaving responsibly, that's the problem. Pretty good. I'd rank it higher. Not so much for me. But as it happens I just rewatched the film last night for the first time in 3 or more years and certain lines in the film stood out as clunkers. One for example: When Ricky explains to Jane something along the lines of "I filmed a homeless woman frozen to death once." Followed by "She looked really sad." I cringed.
