Really? I don't think I've ever heard “I guess you must not have seen...” from someone who hasn't actually seen that thing either. Usually such a strong and damning review is formed first-handed. Otherwise, one in your position would say “I heard she was awful in Ava.” from the start. Still strange.
Why did you watch Ava after shaking your head at her and ZDT? If she deserves undying contempt, why watch another movie in which she stars? What principle are you applying where Affleck's content shall no longer be consumed yet Chastain's content is still worthy? Strange.
He played the solo. Steve Lukather played the riff.
Damon by a mile. He's much more athletic, and that drunk, Affleck, would gas out in 2 minutes.
I hate cabinet doors. They're such a hassle because you have to open them to get stuff, and you know you're just going to have to close them when you're done. They should just make cabinets without their doors. I think I'm just going to unscrew all of mine. Does anyone know where to get a good screwdriver?

The only mild departure from the realistic in that film is his size?? LOL. And gritty? It's a stylized CGI fest with stock characters. You geek out like a kid over King Kong like those other adults do with superhero films. You're all in despite their fantastical and cartoonish nature. Nearly everything you said above about those films applies to King Kong. So, you already know the answer as to how a grown adult can get so into films like these.
Yeah, they need to stop making those silly, unrealistic superhero movies to make room for more grounded, gritty films like King Kong. In King Kong, the suspension of disbelief is at the proper level for a grown adult film. No corn in that masterpiece at all. That's one of your all-time favorites, isn't it? How many times have you watched it?
