Yes, I believe that. Just look at people's phones. Ugly as hell.
I loved to use hand sanitizer even before the pandemic and cleaned my phone at least once a day or when coming back home from outside. And I don't even think that's enough. That's why I try not to touch other people's phones. I wanna stay healthy 😛

I don't know how much proof some people have to have before realizing they might have been wrong.
It's like being wrong makes them unworthy or something.
We all make mistakes. But we all have to admit it from time to time and learn from our past mistakes. I really don't see a problem with being wrong. It happens to all of us.
And blaming scientists for mistakes they made about COVID-19 is also a bad idea. They go by the data they have. And it is politicians who ask them what they think. They expect them to have clear answers no matter how little they know about a new virus. Normally scientists have a lot more time to come up with answers. This time of course it's different. But please don't expect them to be right all the time. How should they?

What do you EXACTLY mean?
There is no 100% certainty when it comes to science. That much is true. And by the way it is actually a good thing, because as we get more data some standpoints have to change sometimes. We adjust and the science models may change. Again, no 100% certainty. It is good the way it is. This is how we and science evolve.
Something entirely different is religion. No science involved and religion teaches you how to think for no good reason and it's core believe NEVER changes. That's what makes EVERY religion so dangerous. It refuses new data no matter what.
