No it doesn't, that is basically proving the OPs point, in that the despair and destruction depicted in Threads is on another level, and it always gets compared 'favorably' to The Day After, like it's leaps and bounds better, but it's a gross exaggeration and really a totally subjective matter.
Both movies were made to cater to their audience. I like them both, and they are both most effective to their respective audiences, either English or American.
Finally got to watch -1.0, and I enjoyed it, but it was just a first viewing for me. I've seen Shin Godzilla at least 20 times, and it's definitely one of my very favorites.
I still prefer Shin Godzilla as of this moment.
One thing about Minus 1 that stuck out to me that I truly was annoyed by, was how Godzillas' spikes kept popping out while he charged his heat beam. I actually thought that was unnecessary and cheesy, especially showing it repeatedly like that.
Pretty darn good game.
True, but it doesn't personally bother me because I know I'm viewing fiction, and the content is well written.
Is your concern that portraying women unrealistically has real world consequences that are harmful? In other words, are real women being put in, or putting themselves in dangerous situations by being influenced through Hollywood depictions like this?
He probably showed the video of the gay anal bareback sex taking place in the Senate chamber. The media and you call this Matt Gaetz is showing PoRn!
What happened to Threads? What happened to Mastodon? You left wingers are so predictable and stupid. Same childish behavior year after year.
Blue sky is just another in a long list of leftist echo chambers, where you get banned for wrong-think immediately. Go against the group, you get reported, and banned within minutes. What a place, hey TMC-4 why don't you migrate over there and spare us your pathetic spam posts here at Movie Chat once and for all?
Kamala Harris was completely opposed (anti-vax) to any Coronavirus vaccine when Trump was President and was very vocal about it.
He's basically a midget. He has James Cagney little man syndrome. I bet he feels real tough when he wears his 7 inch lifts.
I would love to see Tyson drop this guy, but that may be wishful thinking because Tyson hasn't really put up a good fight since what, the early 1990s maybe?
Part of the Tyson legend and mystique is what he could do. He could maybe kill Paul in 30 seconds, but that's the legend we hope to see.
Who knows, Tyson could call the fight after a receiving a few blows.
You know what, Biehn had his time, it was in the 1980's, early 1990's. And that is fine. We will always look fondly on him for his great performances.
On the one hand it is too bad his career didn't take off to mega stardom, because he does tend to dominate most of the movies he did appear in, despite never being the main character.
On the other hand, I can't remember seeing him in a role that destroyed his career either, so that is kind of a good thing we don't reminisce about his one legendary terrible performance or movie. He's probably got some bad ones, but I haven't seen them. All actors have bad movies.
I know its been a few years, but yeah, didn't the whole industry think Terminator was shit before it was made? Meaning, IIRC, James Cameron had trouble securing funding for this project of his. So, that doesn't really make Michael Biehn look stupid if you ask me.
Let's let her prove herself first. She took a massive risk with her career by showing up and the RNC and endorsing Trump, she deserves mega respect for that. A little more time though.
I think you're attributing something to Hitckock which isn't really true. We find out the killer in Psycho, and Rear Window. The closest thing to your theory about him I can think right now is The Birds where we never know the origin of the strange behavior of the birds.
I do like Rear Window. Hitchcock gets a lot of respect for being groundbreaking, but I generally don't care to watch most of his catalogue. I also liked Lifeboat, that was pretty cool.
I heard they also want to bring back high flow flushing toilets, The Dukes of Hazzard TV show, and make Wendy's bring back their 'Where's The Beef' commercials.
Who cares, Hitchcock is and always has been extremely overrated.
Nick said "next time I'll use a condom"
Next time.
Good for you! This is a great classic, and it looks fantastic on Bluray.
You would never see Jonny Carson or Jay Leno stoop this low. This is pathetic.
Hogan vs Rock for me.
