I grew up in the 60's and one of my favorite shows was The Fugitive. I did something I shouldn't and as punishment I wasn't allowed to watch the show one week. Little did they know that I could pull the station up on my radio,(no idea why), and I listened to it in bed. Good thing they didn't find out because I probably wouldn't have been able to watch it for the rest of the year. Like it or not, for some time Christmas has been a secular holiday, at least in the US: although this year I have noticed more traditional, Christmas carols being played on radio stations that normally don't play them. We have a couple of malls that are still thriving. The Apple store is located in one of them and I have to go there Monday so I'll find out if its decorated or not. I don't like to shop just for the heck of it and I much prefer open air shopping centers where I can just pull up to the store where I want shop, get what I want, and then be on my way. I'm going to bake some cookies this coming week. Toll House and iced sugar cookies - maybe some bourbon balls. If I make the ones I really like I will eat all of them and that is a bad idea. I'm generally not interested in following celebrities, especially those in Hollywood. I worked for a company that used celebrity ambassadors for our products and advertising and they would pop up at meetings for photo ops - I never could understand why I would want to meet them and I'm sure they weren't the least bit interested in meeting us, except it was in their contract to do it. Agree - stupid So how did you do? I've been on a win streak for the past 5 weeks, but next week more than half of my team is on a bye, so that will come to a screeching halt. I can only hope my opponent has as many players off. Fun times! Feb 13th LOL - my fantasy football team can keep me up at nights. Yep - played it at several parties with gift exchanges. Everyone has a good time - all the gifts have a low value - under $20, so no feelings hurt. Go to the top of the Empire State Building at night and look down at Times Square - quite a sight. 1. Do you enjoy putting ornaments on your Christmas tree? Yes, but I don't like messing around with lights, which always seen to go out and have to be replaced. 2. Do you prefer white lights or multicolored lights on your tree? I have multiple trees,(4), most have white lights, but I have a small tree decorated only with multi colored lights that I keep in the game room where my cats stay because they will destroy anything else. So far this year they have only knocked it over once. 3. Yes or no to tinsel? No to tinsel. 4. Yes or no to strings of popcorn or beads? I have a pencil tree in my kitchen that is decorated with popcorn and antique cookie cutters that belonged to my grandmother. 5. Is your tree real or artificial? All are artificial and the biggest which is 7 feet tall is storred in a large tree bag. Every year the branches have to be fluffed out and rearranged - I really don't enjoy doing that. I love real trees but I can't handle then and as previously mentioned, I hate putting lights on. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here who celebrates! Beets Green Bean Casserole People who can't put their phones down during social situations - dinner, parties, etc. Tailgaters Shopping - just for the sake of it - just looking for something to buy. Bottom line - TV is entertainment and so are movies - some are better than others, some not. Most of the time that is my primary goal for either one. If I want to enrich my mind I watch a documentary. While I like Peyton and Eli and I don't watch their show for exactly that reason - I want to watch the game and I feel it's secondary to to them and their guests. LOL - I have friends who want to go - should be epic. 1956 - The Ten Commandments. It sparked an interest in ancient Egypt which continues to this day. One of the things on my bucket list is to go to Scandinavia and stay in one of those domed things where you can sleep and look up at the Northern lights - get high and listen to Pink Floyd.
