They list BL at 18.35 minutes long. I've seen other Rascal shorts at 19 plus and occasional 20 minutes long. Adding 1 minute of time to BL spreading the time around extending certain scenes by adding dialog or just extending scenes would really send BL over the top. There is a new Blue Ray version of BL coming out next year. They say they are taking the original uncut Hal Roach film version and cleaning it up--I'll be curious to see if they find any additional scenes that were cut by TV stations back in the 50's-60's
I think Kitty made the decision on the spot light but when things went south her self absorbed self wouldn't admit the mistake and said to the MC he needs more light to act--haha. Maybe the MC should have lowered the lights at the end and put the spotlight on Kittys slip clad body and then her stunned face.
What are your thoughts on why it is so popular?
I think everyone has a different answer for that question. Someone once said "after watching BL they found out their wiener was used for more than peeing".
Most people in the BL groups were born in the 50's, 60's and 70's and the Little Rascals were main stream on one of the 3 or 4 TV channels. And back then if a woman showed her slip or "undies" she was completely embarrassed or mortified. Little boys were interested in what else was under that dress and to see such things they were in the JC Penneys or Sears or Montgomery Ward catalogs. Then watching the Rascals along comes BL where a good looking blonde gets here dress ripped off and you get a peek under her dress as she is standing. Everyone is laughing at her and she is just frozen. It's like watching it live and you get to see it again in another 6 weeks. It beats those catalogs and of course your imagination goes nuts hoping it might happen to one of your teachers, neighbor or a buddies mom. So it's almost like it's been ingrained or imprinted on our brains--or at least mine.
You should try posting them on Pinterest. They allow almost everything--would love seeing some of those old posts!!

I also noticed some new quotes on the IMDB site--one was only a few weeks ago. Unfortunately you can't make comments to their quote. If anyone has time, place a comment on the IMDB site to forward people to this group--need some new blood to keep going
I always thought a nice touch would be Grandma pinning a brooch onto Kitty's dress and underneath the pin would attach to her slip or bra strap. So when Grandma yanked Kitty's dress off her slip would unceremoniously follow to the amusement of her and the audience.
In my opinion when they first started shooting the theatre scenes, Kitty didn't have a slip on. Her dress wasn't as tight like when she is getting off the stool to look for Spanky--kind of loose. But in other scenes her dress is quite snug, almost like she was ready to burst out of it--when she is talking to the gang about Spanky has to win scene. When Kitty goes behind the stage to save Spanky and she pulls her dress up before kneeling down--you can see the tops of her nylons and the white part was her girdle where the nylons were attached--no slip. I imagine they put a slip on her after when they first shoot her coming through the curtain and with the bright lights were able to see right up her dress with her legs open and see her "kitty kat". They might of shot the whole saving Spanky scenes without her wearing a slip so when she does get dis-dressed by grandma she is only wearing her beret, a bra, an open girdle with nylons attached and high heels. We see her one hand is covering her breasts and maybe the other her snatch.

Well the old IMDB messages are on this web site--not sure how they got here. Yahoo probably dumped the groups because of the volume of data on their servers. They said with newer technology people weren't using that forum anymore to communicate their ideas.
Did anyone save any of those pictures from the various Yahoo groups? There must of been 25-50 different LSS groups with tons of pictures--unfortunately I didn't save any, I always thought they would be there forever.
Who did Sig use as a model in the first BL remake? Was it someone from the BT group of models? Was she one of the girls in the pictures he posted on BT in BL poses. I didn't know it was only 4-5 minutes long.
I agree with you on almost everything you wrote. I did like that he followed the original BL--the preliminary of the ladies tea party--which only took a few minutes. He went overboard showing Grandma--laughing and all. The actress was pouty and really never showed any embarrassment in the 3 different versions. He easily could have extended the ending especially with 3 different versions changing different scenes in length, look and angles.
I downloaded some pictures from the BL group and posted them on You Tube. After a month or two You Tube took it down and said don't do it again--the pictures showed too much nudity. I'm sorry I didn't get some pictures off the LSS groups but always thought they were always going to be there or show up somewhere else on the internet.

I bought the second set of the BL remake. They were okay but for me they missed the mark, especially what had been talked about in the boards. I guess it is all about money trying to produce a quality film. Wasn't a fan of the actress--brunette and the NY accent. I wished she wore a sexier slip and lingerie from the 30's. When Kitty got shocked people commented on how she massaged her breasts--Sig could have followed up with that scene and slowed it down and made it longer with her running her hands down her whole body and ass.
Just a couple things I thought about. Was the actress in the first remake better looking--sexier--were the scenes different/better than the second remake? Were there 3 different versions? I tried to buy it a few years ago but they didn't offer it anymore.
Miss the old yahoo group! More members and activity. Also miss the photos people would summit especially the altered ones with Kitty in different poses. Yahoo just pulled the plug on all the different groups so a lot of photos and scripts long gone. I haven't found out if these groups ended up somewhere else on the internet. I stumbled across this one by accident--it's the old IMDB group--I was surprised the old posts were saved.

Spanky seeing Daisy's mom in her lingerie, is unable to control his Roman soldier as it starts to pulsate--shooting a mouthful into Daisy's moms open mouth. Daisy agast seeing what just happen to her mother pushes Spanky aside. Losing his balance, Spanky grabs for anything and pulls down the prop that is in front of his mom. The props feet catches Kittys panties and bra pulling it right over her head to the delight of the audience. Seeing the rest of Kitty's garment get removed in a funny fashion caused Daisy to forget about her mothers circumstances and started laughing in Kitty's face as it turned crimson red as she comically tried to cover herself. Spanky more aroused on seeing what just happened shoots a couple ropes onto his mothers exposed breasts leaving Daisy somewhat avenged and $10 richer.
