80s…- - - - So, you've been to school for a year or two And you know you've seen it all In daddy's car, thinking you'll go far Back east your type don't crawl Playing ethnicky jazz to parade your snazz On your five-grand stereo Braggin' that you know how the <spoiler>niggers</spoiler> feel cold And the slums got so much soul I hurried back to the swimming pool Sinkin' pina colada I heard a dark voice beside me say Would you like something harder? She said I've got it You want it My harvest is the best And if you try it You’ll like it And wallow in a <spoiler>********* *******</spoiler> And I say Don’t like Jamaica, oh no I LOVE HER! In Sensurround sound in a two-inch wall I was waiting for the communist call I didn’t ask for sunshine and I got World War III I'm looking over the wall… AND THEY’RE LOOKING AT MEEEEE!!! Would you mind If I looked into your eyes till I'm hypnotized And I lose my pride, yeah Would you mind If I make love to you till I'm satisfied 70s…- - - - Lookin' in the sky, for a gap in the clouds Sometimes I think that sun ain't never coming out But I'd rather be here than in that dirty old town I had to leave the city 'cause it broke me down…………………………………….. Reel Big fish Eddie rabbit I love a rainy night All night doctors Bush A kinder, gentler Rossdale…. Lionel Ritchie All night long Yes, I just got your theme…I was gonna answer Sinatra ‘My Way’ but ain’t no ‘night’ in dat…haha I think it’s Lionel Ritchie…. Night fever Bee Gees This has happened before….I answer a song, a year or so later it’s posted again and I miss it…ah, first world problems… Time to go read some more lyric for some bands on have on queue….yes, I’m that boring….. <blockquote>If beer is involved, well then anything goes</blockquote> Ain’t that the truth… Cheers… Good stuff…mud bugs, corn, potatoes and a beer or two….yeah, seasoning and timing are key….I’m sure you probably use better stuff than Tony Chachere’s but in a pinch it’ll work. Crawfish boil definitely an outside event… I know it gets attention- “clicks”- but the media did a good job staying away from that “Next Jordan” bullshyt for quite awhile. The ‘90s and ‘00s had an array: Harold Miner, Vince Carter, Grant Hill, Stackhouse, McGrady, etc.— never would’ve guessed I’d write the name “Kendall Gill” today, but I digress… Glad you pointed it out- I did not like that switch AT ALL. You gotta know the situation. Up by 2, shot clock off, you have to fight through or go over the top of the screen and make Doncic drive to the hoop; at worst for the Wolves, a lob, a pull-up J or some other 2-POINT shot (a kick out 3 unlikely if you look at the play , all shooters covered and traffic in the passing lanes). Wolves did Dallas and Doncic a favor there, he gladly took that dagger 3…. TV guys are personable and usually speak well. I can buy the theory that owners not necessarily in the loop or familiar with basketball minutiae can be easily impressed by an engaging and smooth-talking color commentator. Firing a title winning coach in Frank Vogel and hiring a first timer goes against the usual basketball hiring orthodoxy for teams with a championship window, no matter how narrow the window. With all due respect to Darvin Ham, a former player who comes off as a nice guy, it just wasn’t a good fit and at times he appeared a bit overwhelmed , which will happen when you have an aging great on an expiring clock. But this is the Lakers’ situation. Though scouting and development have improved , the overall management on the executive level hasn’t been that great for some time… Tatum steps up, Horford sinks seven 3s, Holiday makes a play at the end (great steal, great anticipation), Pacers on the ropes. I was hoping for the Celtics/Wolves final to assure a ring for 1 of the 2 most respected vets in the league : Al Horford and Mike Conley. We shall see if Minnesota can answer back…. Haha, when Andy The King was Andy The Prince… Enjoy reading the updates on your musical excursions, AK….I’m sure the latest Clapton gig delivered a good time…I’ll wait for the details to this band’s next show, though I may be waiting awhile after The Cure’s successful tour in ‘23…. Cheers…. The Man in Black, and I think this is called “Kate” or “Kate’s song” or something or another ….. Epic , faith no more Music, Madonna
