What about the wardrobe? That was not 1940's fashion, especially for the women. Here it is 2021 and I just saw this movie for the first time. I agree with those who feel Caroline (Betty White) died at that moment she dropped the garden hose. I haven't cried this hard during a movie in a long time. This was such a beautiful movie. and the ending was gloriously done. I saw this actor in a Hallmark movie. His name is Benjamin Ayres. THIS is the actor who most resembles Rob Delaney. Check out Benjamin Ayres............ https://allfamous.org/people/benjamin-ayres-19770119.html I loved it. Let's remember Charles was an inventor. His reaction to the time travel element was low key compared to....let's say......me. I would have been freaking out as I do not have that Jules Verne mind set. Peavey was perfect in this role. I also enjoyed Erin Cahill. Both actors looked wonderful together and very believable. I really enjoy time travel movies (Back to the Future trilogy comes to mind) and this movie was just right not to "rack my brain" as to chain of events. Just perfect, actually. Danika did not appear until Kat was 18 years old; not quite a child. I think she pulled it off very well. PRIMETIMER.com I is now called PRIMETIMER. This is the best forum out there for movies and TV shows, IMHO. Foul language is not censored so just giving you a heads up. It really can be hilarious with tempers flying! Someone, don't remember who, said that Kelsey has a certain "type" in boyfriends. That is when I know it wasn't just me who thought these guys looked alike. Miriam Shor is absolutely perfect as Diana. Love her character. Love the talent from this actress. Great casting. Debi Mazur is stunning, IMHO. Anytime she is on the screen, my eyes are fixed on her. I don't quite know what it is.......her extremely light blue eyes with her very dark hair are a start. She has a look about her that just exudes sexiness. I'm an older woman, happily married to a man for over 43 years. Google Debi Mazur as Ava Gabor.......simply stunning!!! CGI I'm very late to the party with my comment but just watched this movie again after several years. About the food poisoning scene....... the best part of that scene was Kristen Wiig progressively getting more sick every time the camera came back to her. Her comedic gift was on full display. Her facial expressions as she was getting more soaked with perspiration with each passing shot was absolutely hilarious. I think that was Kristen's best bit in this movie. Damn good acting in the last episode of season 3 from Alex. Miriam still loves Joel. Joel still loves her too. That's how I see it. It was all a dream. There was no angel. IMDb trivia section explains the reason for two different style skirts. One skirt was very difficult for Kim to move in. There was a small pleat in the "tight" skirt. Kim needed more room in the second skirt so she could run and do more action maneuvers. Hence, a second skirt was made with a much more generous pleat, giving the actress the room she need to perform the scenes. Judy Garland was an icon with an iconic voice. I have read so many of the comments on YouTube about her amazing talent and realize Garland has many many fans who were born after she left this world. Judy's voice is unique and absolutely no one comes close to the richness of her vocals, the bravado which seems to ooze effortlessly from her being and the awe inspiring emotion she easily conveyed. As someone described how Judy vocalized......"she knows how to breath while she is singing"....that really explained the phenomenon that was Judy Garland. She was an exceptional talent, never to have an equal. Renee should not have sung for Judy in this film. I think the producers thought they could get away with Renee's vocals because this film takes place in the latter part of Judy's life. Wrong!!!! Judy's voice was still exceptional as she aged. That seems to be the general consensus as I read all the comments on what used to be the IMDb website. I saw this TV mini series in 2001 what it was first aired then watched again after seeing the 2019 movie "Judy" with Renee Zellweger. I totally agree that Tammy Blanchard should have shot "The Trolley Song scene" and maybe a bit further as Judy was still younger. I have read the Judy Davis recreated that scene exactly and it was done frame by frame exactly as the original movie was shot. I have no doubt, Tammy Blanchard would have been able to recreate "The Trolley Song" scene with just as much realism as Judy Davis. Just seeing how Blanchard did the "Girl Crazy" scene makes me believe she would have done just as well recreating "The Trolley Song". One of the old Las Vegas lounge acts that became famous was Louis Prima and Keeley Smith. No better music than that other than Sinatra. LOVE that stuff. Armand's wardrobe was more feminine than he was.
