I've read that too. The people who made the movie can swear up and down he wasn't dubbed by another actor, but they're huge flakes. They either remember wrong from 50 years ago, or they're lying for whatever reason. It's far beyond obvious his character's dialogue was dubbed, it's one of the most obvious dubs in the history of cinema. I'm sure he had really good range though.
Her story was about coming to the realization that her life in Sugar Rush had become unsatisfying and unfulfilling. The princesses encouraged her to follow her heart and chase her dreams rather than just slowly let the days tick by in a life she didn't want. Yeah, what a selfish little shit for not just sucking it up.
She didn't abandon the citizens of Sugar Rush, they were no longer in peril, that plot thread had pretty much been resolved with Ralph making tons of money off his social media vids. You're a bigger drama queen than she is.
I can't imagine developing any sort of bond with such a non-character. She barely existed even within the context of the movie.
When it was announced I assumed it probably wasn't going to be as good as the original. When I saw it I thought, "Yep, not as good. But it's not terrible."
I've seen it a couple more times since then, just re-watched both movies recently. Nothing has changed. 'Disappointed' just means you made the mistake of having unrealistic expectations.
Max and Ian. OK.
Everyone gets old. Not everyone butchers their own face.
Jews and Christians were living as dhimmis, oppressed 2nd class citizens, under the Ottoman empire, the last of many Islamic caliphates that controlled the region. Arabs aren't indigenous there, they came from the Arabian Peninsula and anywhere beyond that which they control is colonization. They're the worst colonizers in the modern world, but you give them a pass because to you they're just cute little brown foreigners who hate the West as much as you do.
The entire Middle East including the Levant belongs to ISLAM!
ALLAH HU ACKBAR DEATH TO INFIDELS DEATH TO ISRAHELL DEATH TO AMERICA!!!
Nobody gives two rat fucks about Biden anymore.
He tries to pronounce it correctly, he simply can't.
Hi, I used to be a huge weeaboo. This is down to a very real cultural difference. Japan has always been more relaxed and matter-of-fact regarding violence and death in their media, including children's media. They probably see us as wimpy and weird for shying away from the simple obvious fact that people, especially soldiers, sometimes get killed and die horrible violent deaths, and that bad/evil/cruel people are often responsible.
If he had a history of dropping acid often, one hit might not be that big of a deal to him. Not to mention, blotter acid is notorious for being unpredictable in terms of how strong or weak of a dose each tab is. I remember in the mid 80s there were kids at my high school who deliberately kept weak hits on hand for when they wanted to fry a little without going on a full blown trip.
ESL I assume?
Jesus, dude. Were trying to prove your opponent's point for him?
It happens only once in Fight Club, necessary to explain Tyler Durden's projectionist pranks. In Mank it happens several times to simulate an old movie being shown on multiple reels of film stock.
Oh, so that's the sort of thing that triggered people to think this movie was "awful"? Damn, I can't imagine what would happen if you ever watch a movie that's actually bad. You'd probably curl up into a little crying ball and just die.
And yeah, Thunderdome is obviously a bit more light hearted and Disney-ish than Mad Max 1 and 2. But it's still a good watch. It basically took elements like 2's Gyro Captain and the Feral Kid and ran with them.
I literally lol'd
It really does sound like he says it with a B instead of a P, though. Made me o_O
I didn't even know this movie existed until recently, for ages I've been wondering if El Mariachi would ever get a blu-ray release and every once in a while I'd check. It finally did, along with the other two parts of the trilogy. I knew El Mariachi and Desperado, somehow I don't recall ever hearing about OUATIM. I must have heard of it but had no idea it was a "Mariachi" movie. I'm a little over half way through it right now. It's definitely a bit more over the top and sillier than Desperado, which was definitely over the top and silly. So far nothing has made me think "awful" or even just plain "bad," but now I'm bracing myself...
"if were so smart you would be schooling me in what the “general” welfare” clause meant."
That was my entire point. It's undefined. The founding fathers made the decision to leave it up to interpretation by whomever is in charge at any given time, assuming (perhaps mistakenly) that they would be reasonable and rational.
Even primitive hunter/gatherer tribes were able to work out simple welfare systems where everybody pitched in to feed other members who, instead of going out to hunt and gather, patrolled the home perimeter to deal with raiders and predators when they showed up, or members who were sick or injured or crippled and couldn't provide for themselves. And there were probably primitive lazy turds who took advantage of it, and dumbass selfish pricks like you who hated having to give any of their own stuff to help the needy. Story old as time.
