Let me know when. I have a screwy schedule but I would do my best! Not sure how I’d like it to end. If they do die it doesn’t mean there won’t be a Supernatural movie as we all know how final death is on the show. Honestly I don’t think there will be a movie made. As much as I’d love to see them on the big screen I don’t think there would be enough interest outside of fandom. What I absolutely do not want is a sappy, happy-happy, joy-joy ending. No big family/friends reunion in Heaven. No boys in the future, aged, grayed and retired reclusive cabin in the woods living out their days together. I’d almost accept a final view from the Impalas trunk with one of them telling the other, “We’ve got work to do”, with a final close of the trunk leaving us knowing that they are still out there “Saving people. Hunting things. Carrying on the family business. Remember - the guys said that they don’t want Sam and Dean to know that there’s is a final ending coming up as we do - just business as usual. So you’re telling me I researched and took the time to write that all up for you for nothing? Thanks a lot. Kidding. At least it’s there if you or anyone else want it. Truthfully I will save money cause I’ll probably get rid of my cable altogether. Secondly I’ll have more time on my hands. Except when I’m doing my rewatches of the entire series. And reading fan fic. Lots and lots of fan fic. Seriously tho, I will miss it. I have never been attached much less this interested in a tv show. Ever. The fact that both Jared and Jensen seem to be decent, kind men and not a couple of jackasses hasn’t hurt. :). I will continue to follow Jensen’s career, Jared’s not so much. I just hope that everyone involved does Sam and Deans story justice. That it goes out as memorably as it started. Reading over these various observations that people are making during the hiatus rewatch it - so many great moments, fantastic acting...getting to know the characters and their world gradually. So friggin good. I miss that Supernatural. Those moments which now seem so few and far between. And then when we get them along with the angst and suspense (talking Michael/Dean possession, Malek Box, Deans fate to name a few) only to have it all ripped out from underneath you to be replaced by - ? Early on, back then, they knew how to draw out a storyline all the way to the end. Now? Not so much. And yes we do see occasional flashes of brilliance like the Baby episode or the episode with Rocky’s Bar...but it’s getting harder and harder to sift thru the crap for the gems. And I don’t think Dabb has it in him. I thought when he was setting up Sam and Deans dilemma with Michael in his head and a pending one way trip in the Malek Box that we were really going somewhere. Finally. And then they Jack’d (see what I did there) it up. I think Dabb is a hack who will continue to be a hack. So I have little hope for the final season regardless of Jared and Jensen’s input. Cas. The writers are unable to really write for him and haven’t for some time. Remember the bees? They have pretty much ruined this character. I miss bad ass Cas. At least they finally eased up on the dad hair. I’d miss him but then again I’m not sure I would. At this point they have killed off so damn many characters - what’s one more? Rowena? Sure. Jody? Yep, her too. So ready for that. Donna can stay. And Garth too. AU Bobby? Yes, please kill him off. As of yesterday if I had my way. He never should have returned. I would have had him caught between two worlds stuck in the rift. Until it closed. And then we’d have two Bobby’s. One half here, one half AU. :). AUCharlie? Dead. Ketch? He has the good whiskey so he gets to stay. Besides, I love the chemistry between he and Dean. Billie? ABSOLUTELY. Please kill her off. She’s become so annoying. The Entity? Take it too. The more I see it the more boring it gets. Jack? Survived his last two deaths so I can handle his third. Anael? She’s new and fresh. I want to see where they take her. I wonder if they will have Dean interact with her more now that he’s not Michael. The boss lady in Heaven who survived Metatrons reciprocal drill? Take her too and I don’t really want to see Amara return either. Wasn’t thrilled they brought back Chuck. Come to think of it I really don’t want to see them bring back the Lady In White or Gacy or...been there, done that, probably have multiple t shirts. Revisiting what’s been done before is so lazy and unimaginative and takes away from the original appearances. Not only that but they are incapable of making them more interesting than they were the first time so it just lessens the character and their storylines. I know Jensen and Jared are talking up a good game over Season Fifteen but honestly if they don’t make a drastic change for the better and they just foolishly continue on in the manner that they have they will ruin what’s left of the show. I am so not looking forward to one more year of Dabbs crappy show-running. Jensen and Jared both chose the right time to call it quits. Cont’d Carved In Flesh/Tim Waggoner who also wrote MythMaker. These were okay as I remember. I think I liked MythMaker better? Fresh Meat/Alice Henderson. I did like this one. Some of these authors capture Sam and Dean better than others which helps with the enjoyment of the story. Rebecca Dessertine was Eric Kripke assistant! Just depends on what you are looking for or what floats your boat when you read these. They helped during hiatuses. But only for a night. ;). I can’t put them down, remember? The new ones that I know of but haven’t read yet are: The Usual Sacrifices/Yvonne Navarro (this one sounds good-I actually got to read a snippet/example) Joy Ride by John Passerella - this also sounds interesting and ahhhh another one I didn’t even know about by Tim Waggoner - Children of Anubis!!!! This one has Garth. Supernatural Wiki has a list and short description for each. Go. Enjoy! I know I’ll be ordering 3 very soon! Maybe we can compare notes! ;) He wrote Carved In Flesh which if I remember was okay. Set sometime in Season 7. The other one was MythMaker which was interesting. This ones set sometime around Season 10. I liken these Supernatural paperbacks to potato chips... once you sit down with the bag it’s hard to stop eating. Or that may just be me. I love to read but at the same time I hate it because once I start a book, I can’t put it down. I will skip meals and sleep... I have to finish. I’m like that with shows and movies too. I can’t understand how someone can just stop and return to viewing it later. Anyway, there are so many penned by different authors. My least favorite is John Passerella? I am missing the newer ones that came out recently but here’s the list of the ones I do have by author. Not in order of date published tho. Witches Canyon/Jeff Mariotte. This one was decent. Nevermore/Keith R.A. Candido. Bone Key/Keith R.A. Candido. Heart of the Dragon/also by Keith R.A. Candido. (These as I remember were just okay. Didn’t thrill me). The Unholy Cause/Joe Schreiber. War of the Sons/Rebecca Dessertine & David Reed (more exciting title than the story was) One Year Gone/Rebecca Dessertine (Lisa and Ben figured into this one) Coyotes Kiss/Christa Faust (if I remember I did like this one) Night Terror/John Passarella who also wrote Rite of Passage and Cold Fire. The first two are not favorites. Several different reasons. One: It seems as if the man has never met a word he didn’t like. Two: He concentrates way too much on other characters. If the MOW kills were written in the show the same way he does in his books-the episode would be over before the Winchesters ever graced the screen. Definitely needs to focus more on Sam and Dean. And Three: The man has never met a word he didn’t like. There’s a reason they use smaller type when they print his books. Cold Fire tho? I think that one was better than his first two. I believe Tim Waggoner has written a couple Supernatural soft cover books so I’d say probably legit. I so preferred the OG Death. Billie is boring. Posturing with little to no follow thru. If it does come down to a fight with God - I’d have Dean contact Amara. She’s equal in power to Chuck and she and Dean have that bond. She said she would always protect him from harm. That’s who I’d call. Pray to. Plus Chuck already said she’s in Vegas so they know where she is if they have to go search for her. Of course they have to get out of their zombie predicament first but who knows? Maybe Amara is the one who saves them here too? They will have to leave it somewhat open in case Jared and Jensen agree to reprise their roles and there is a movie. Personally though I think once they wrap the tv series that that will be it. I don’t see a movie ever being made. Don’t know why, I just don’t. Exactly the same feeling I had regarding a spin-off being successful or ever happening. I never thought the amulet (original) was of any particular monetary value. I don’t think theamulet in the pawn shop is supposed to look the same. Who knows who created Deans. Might be interesting to find out but I don’t trust Dabb to address that properly so I’d rather he completely keep his mitts off Deans amulet storyline. Zombies, ghosts and Hell souls. Are Hell souls damned souls which weren’t there long enough to turn to demons? We’re the Hell souls returning to their own bodies in which case that was one heck of a naughty town. Or were they just escaping and grabbing the first dead corpse they could find? Im sure that they will manage to pull this off about as well as they did the aftermath of “The angels, they’re falling!” What a boring snore fest that was. So we have Billie, Jack, Lucifer and the Entity still in the inescapable (pffft) Empty. We have the hordes of ? Zombies, ghosts, Hell souls ? Who knows what. Team What The Hell Is The Point Of Free Will surrounded. Heaven still in need of angels. Hell is a soul vacumn. Whatever will the bored demons do? We have Chuck pissed off and probably in Vegas joining his sis in a game of Keno. We have the Winchesters, eyes wide open as to what a crap fest their life has been - if I were the guys I’d put up a ‘Gone Fishing - Permanently’ sign on the bunker and quit. There is so little enthusiasm that I can muster at this point. If it weren’t for wanting to watch Jensen and Jared doing their thing one more time I don’t know that I would even bother to watch the final year. Personally I’d like to see Sam and Dean hunt down Andrew Dabb for this pile of horseshit. I watched it Bella. If I didn’t hate Dabb before, I do now. I heard that the new Avengers movie was really bad. Tonight, I think Supernatural is going to give it a run for the money. After this? I fully understand why Jensen and Jared wanted to bail. If this wasn’t part of their reasoning then it should have been. Dabb is a complete hack and yes, he finally managed to total the Lamborghini. I hate what Dabb has done to Supernatural. For the first time ever in its history since I’ve been watching it, I can honestly say I am not looking forward to the next year. And not because it’s the final one. That expression Jared used (while probably meant fondly as in something you don’t want to do but know it’s time) of putting down a dog you love - so apropos. I am completely and utterly disgusted by this finale. And icing on cake - the one thing I hate Dabb couldn’t resist doing... political commentary of any kind does not belong on Supernatural. First, it alienates viewers on one side or the other. Second, it dates the show. And Third, which I find super annoying, it always, always throws me out of the moment. Such an idiot. I can’t get past Dabb ruining the MichaelDean storyline much less the handoff of the Malak Box to Jack. Dabbs a hack. Even if he pulls off an interesting season finale - which I doubt - I sincerely doubt his ability to carry it into the final year. If he hasn’t wrecked the Lamborghini he’s certainly done some serious damage to her. Every time the story gets interesting they change gears. Opportunities left like roadkill on the pavement. Again and again. MichaelDean was the straw for me. All that build up and suspense for nothing. As a viewer I feel like the rug was pulled out from under my feet. And not in a good way. And not the first time. It’s sad. If she did it would have to be as a demon as Hellhounds drug her to Hell once her contract became due. But knowing Dabb he would retcon it to where she never was due to some magically powerful Gris Gris bag or something lame. I’d rather see her return as a powerful demon out for revenge. What I don’t want to see is Dabb taking advantage of the last year and endlessly parade past characters. Just taking up the precious time that we have left with the Winchesters. Bobby is dead. Leave him there. While you are at it, kill off AUBobby. He’s an affront to the real thing. I like Beaver but enough is enough. No miraculous Mary resurrection. Dabbs already brought back so many and very poorly at that. I’d rather he not because he’s incapable of carrying it through and just wrecks the past canon. As much as I’d like to see what happened to so many characters like Adam, Jesse the AntiChrist, CageMichael, Max and his stick sister... I’d rather he leave well enough alone. He’s a hack and he would just ruin it. Definitely do not want to see episodes regarding the Waywards or Donna or Jody. Less is more. It’s enough for me to know they are out there. Please NO MORE CLAIRE. Like EVER. DarkKia either. Please no more Heaven storyline. Wrap up Hells lack of leadership. Go back to the Winchesters. Please. Where did you hear about Eric having anything to do with the final season? If I’m not mistaken he has a new show on his hands and the dudes pretty busy. Do you really think Dabb would want that? Oh, you mean the inescapable Empty? The Empty that is as inescapable as the bunker is impenetrable. Chuck coming back to save Jack. I’ll admit that would be about the most predictable ending that Dabb the hack could come up with. I pray even he has more talent than that. I’m still wondering if based on the things Michael said that (and I know it won’t happen but I think it would be a cool twist)when God finally does show up we find out that Michael has been playing a long con all this time in order to flush Chuck out to kill him. I’m going to be sick if all the season ender turns out to be Dean trying to kill Jack, which causes Jack to finally turn. A*cough* epic *cough* battle ensues (will the Empty Entity be joining the fray?) and just as it turns bad for our boys (thinking one of them gets obliterated so that there’s not enough to bring them back thereby completing the foreshadowing from the episode we just watched) Chuck steps up and restores Jacks soul (if he can), shutting his power down and returning the cute little nougat loving boy back to the waiting arms of his three dads. Blech. Thinking Sam takes the bullet meant for Jack. Jumps between Dean and his intended target. Or he was stabbed with the angel blade? SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER In case you haven’t seen the new episode... What did I say? Do Dabb and the Nep Duo have one creative bone left in their bodies? Collectively? Just one is all I’m asking. Predictable. *A Day In The Life on the Supernatural Set* Dabb: *Musing* “Malak Box. Jack. Box. Hey! Jack in the box! Get it? Huh? Bob! Get Ackles on the phone. Tell him I’m dropping the whole MichaelDean storyline! Whaddya mean he won’t be pleased? I’m sure he’s been waiting for THAT shoe to drop since the 2nd episode this year! Okay, now everybody say what a genius I am or you’re all out of a job! Crew: “We’re all out of a job in a year anyway. And FYI, we all think you’re a hack who should have had the keys of the Lamborghini taken away from you a long time ago!!!” Dabb: “Okay. You’re entitled to your own opinions. Opinions? Opini-eye. Everyone but you Bob! But c’mon, you gotta admit it’s cool!” Crew: “We quit.” NepDuo: “Oh Andy baby darling- what is this cannon everyone keeps going on about? Isn’t that some type of military machinery?” Dabb: *To himself*. “And they call ME a hack!”
