1. No, not lying. At least not totally. Watch out in the scene where the girls come out dressed up all weird in the back yard. Holly Hunter's character is reading a newspaper clipping about Evie's Uncle getting jailed. So there's some truth to it.

@abigolckeok: Sure, but whether you like it or not, these are theatrical experiences. I wouldn’t be saying this if it was on Blu-ray or some good home theater presentation. But it’s a bootleg probably shot with a camcorder from the back of the theater? That’s a facsimile of the experience at best. It’s not going to move you in the same way.

Maybe the degraded experience has something to do with the fact you’re watching a bootleg, while talking on a web forum; instead of paying to see it with an audience on the big screen.
Go see it properly before you form an opinion based off a knockoff viewing.
