Seed was terrible
Curse was decent
Cult was meh
I agree.
Yes, I'm aware that IT 2017 got some flak and some people prefer the miniseries. I still think the miniseries did the whole nostalgia thing a lot better and it had the 50s/60s setting, unlike the late 80s setting of the new adaptation. So I do have a soft spot for the miniseries, even if some parts of it, was terrible. Mainly the second half, with the adults in the 80s/90s setting.
With all of that said, I still think this movie deserves at least a 6.5, and not a 3 or 4. Defiantly not an 8 of 9. Nothing will ever beat 1, 2, and 4 and maybe even H20. There were some problems. Killing off that kid was fucking stupid and some of the characters are not very interesting and Laurie was kinda over the top, also that psycho doctor was just a rehash of Wynn from 5 and 6, but the kills and suspense really nailed it. So it was a passable sequel. At least it had some good quantities, unlike that Rob Zombie crap!
Outside of the first one, I don't get why people like the Rob Zombie films. I'll admit that the first one was decent and I kinda liked the first half where they explored Micheal's childhood, but the second one was terrible and made no sense and was full of continuity and plotholes galore. Also the ending was very depressing, when they showed Laurie/Angel at the psych ward, while a remade version of Love Hurts plays, making it even more sadder. The only good scene from RZH2 was the part where Annie Brackett was murdered, that's it. The rest was just a total shitshow and Loomis was just downright mean and awful! Worse than he was in H5.
I sorta like Halloween 6. It's a lot better than 5. I did like a few things about H5, but the negatives overweight the positives, unfortunately. I mean H6 was a mess from the start. The whole Thorn plot was kinda interesting, but the fact that Michael knocks up his niece in the PC version was just stupid and bad writing. I can understand that Wynn wanted to copy Michael's DNA and harness it through Jamie's baby to try to replicate the evil inside Michael. Also, killing off Jamie was stupid and they should've waited until the finale to kill her off and maybe Danielle Harris would've returned. I will say that I liked Paul Rudd (AntMan) and Donald Pleasence (R.I.P.) but I can see why H20 decided to ignore 4-6, because of the mess that H5 and H6 made.
Well guess what, the people who hate this sequel are giving piss poor reasons why it sucks. Just be glad we got another Halloween film. You know, those who bitch about trivial shit are also acting childish, too.
It was a decent film, people just find an excuse to bitch and complain!
Everyone is ungrateful; End of story!
No, our generation is garbage. That's all!
Not trying to shoot down opinions, but sometimes they go too far when it involves constant nitpicking!
No, you people need to stop their damn whining and start appreciating things. God, Millennials are the worst!

Ugh, there is no God!
BTW, that was a figure of speech, I actually believe in God but wonder why he lets all of this bad shit, happen and does NOTHING about it!
The next time someone says "I can't wait for the next Friday The 13th" I'm just gonna fucking cringe, because final product will ALWAYS fucking disappoint anyone! Jesus Christ! Ungrateful doesn't even begin to describe it and that's why I loathe the 21st century, so much!
See, nobody can be happy, anymore! This is what I'm talking about.
Dont remember a lot of people being disappointed with Freddy Vs. Jason, over 15 years ago! Maybe some, but that's it. All I know is; It wasn't as bad, back then, as it is today.
Doesn't he kill a kid in this one?
So true, 1994 was truly the last great year in cinema.
The Dark Knight didn't suck, it was just a very overrated film! Still a lot better than Rises. That was a disappointing final film, but I did like Bane. Begins was also kinda weak.
Now Avatar, that movie sucked. The only good thing that movie had going for it, was the special effects and 3D, otherwise a crappy film that has been done to death before in the 90s with Pocahontas, Fermgully, and Dances With Wolves.
Read my newer post I just made.
Are you talking about Halloween II, the 2009 one?
It's probably as good as IT; not really scary but decent, for a typical horror film, in sea of trashy horror films about demonic possessions and ghosts!
Cult was more mediocre than horrible, nothing will beat Seed in terms of bad sequels.
People are trash, anymore!
I agree with Seed, disagree with Curse, and somewhat agree with Cult.
Curse was better than both. Wanna know why? Chucky was actually a threat and was given a decent backstory to why he became the doll in the first place. Call Curse a bad movie all you want, but it's a good sequel. Now Cult, that was just a really mediocre sequel! I had high hopes for it, but what did we get? Gender bending body swapping, a watered down Andy Barclay, and for some reason, Chucky must've learned shadow clone jutsu from watching too much Naruto!
Yes it doesn't help that both Curse and Cult were direct to video. Blame Don Mancini for Seed, on that one. Just because something is released direct to video, doesn't mean its always garbage. Cult wasn't horrible, but very mediocre at best. I liked a few things about it, but it seems like they pulled a "Halloween 5" with Cult.
They also pulled this same shit in the 1997 Leave It To Beaver film, where they had 90s technology mixed with 50s/60s fashion to where almost all of the girls were wearing nothing but smocked dresses and skirts from those eras. It was so fucking cringeworthy and out of place! We get it, it's like the original Leave To Beaver from the late 50s and early 60s!
Towards the end of this movie, Chucky says that he was never planning on killing her.
Make up your damn mind, Chucky!
It's a lot better than Seed, but it still has a lot of problems. I mean the Chucky clones makes it less scary and they didn't do a good job with Andy Barclay. I will say this though, at least Chucky was actually menacing and not a complete fucking joke, like he was in Seed. I'll take multiple Chuckies in Cult over masturbating Chucky from Seed, on any given day!
