Was that scene in EWS satanic in nature? It did seem like a cult in that house, but i don't remember any pentagrams or horned statues or anything satanic. One of the best devil cult movies of the 70's. Actually, one of the best EVER! Everywhere they went, the satanists were there, trying to get them. The ending was horrific! For evil witch movies, or movies about demons, or the devil, Check out... I did enjoy both Warlock sequels. The second and third movies showed the Warlock with a nastier, more sinister side. Bruce Payne seemed diabolical compared to Julian Sands' portrayal. I love your idea, where they might do a sequel to the original movie, where Redferne (Richard E. Grant) and Kassandra with a K (Lori Singer) reprise their roles. I also love your idea for the sequel, which leads me to ask this question. HOW did the witch finder, Redferne, travel to the future? . In Angel Heart, what is it that satan does that is a terrible thing? Wasn't the whole Harry Angel\Johnny Favorite character just an evil athiest murderer? He didn't ask God to forgive him, so the devil steps in and takes him to his tormented afterlife. thanks a million! Just the continuation of things falling down, meant to frighten. Remember in both PA2, and PA3, the kitchen scenes, where everything from the cupboards falls to the floor. It is the stuff of nightmares. A coven of black witches is after Alex. They are trying to kill her, and how the screen cuts to black, it looks like they succeeded. Reminds me of any movie or story with an evil witch. No, i am not talking about The Wizard of Oz. I am talking evil, devil worshipping witches who will cook babies, and anyone else, and consume them. Poor Alex! She was probably boiled in a cauldron and ended up on the old, wicked hags' dinnerplates. They said when The Exorcist was released in 1973, people in theatres were crying, people were walking out very freaked out about what the little girl was going through. The "spider walk" scene (the bloody one!) woulda sent them over the edge if it woulda been included in the final cut. Wow! I wanna see a modern day horror movie with the same reaction from the viewing audience. It is time to make something so horrific and shocking, you will need counseling to get a good night's sleep! Well, there is no indication that God exists in these movies. We saw people praying, a priest helping to cast the demon out of the house in TGD, and a demon possessing children. God loves and protects children, but he was on vacation during these movies. Not even keeping Toby in the circle helped, as he escaped and proceeded to kill all the adults. He took blood from Keila, so he could walk the earth in human form, so his sinister plans can move forward, which is to form a demonic army, probably for apocalyptic battles. Exactly! I have been trying to find gadgets to convert some VHS tapes to DVD, or even an .mp4, so it will look good. Failed miserably! Could not ever play a converted movie on my HDTV where it would be enjoyable. How the hell are they doing this in 1992, or 2006, or even in 2013????? It's Horror Movies 101. Always make stupid decisions. The killer is on the ground, seemingly dead. WHY would you walk over near them? You heard a bump in the night, and a scream, while alone in your home. WHY investigate? Just call 911! Youtube has videos on the stupidest decisions in horror movies. They are spot on! Awesome comments! It does make you wonder which side God is on. If He allowed the adversary to put Job through such an ordeal, where he lost his farm, family members, and almost his faith in God, what is the whole message? I remember the Biblical story. He told satan NOT to lay one hand on him, while causing all of those calamities. Satan did what God asked. As mentioned many times throughout history, Satan is God's special prosecutor. They are not enemies, per se. We humans get in trouble, and we need to know the reason for our failings. It is our arrogance, our pride, and our human nature to do what we want, not considering what God thinks of our decisions. Our sins do us in. Everytime! Eventually. The devil laughs at our evil deeds. This CANNOT be the end! The story is incomplete. What is Toby's ultimate goal? To create a demonic army to help his father satan in the Battle of Armageddon? He desires to walk the earth in human form. He needs to look human. For what reason? A diabolical plot to help destroy the world, most likely. As i suggested before. He needs to get impaled with a cross, and sent back to Hell, permanently, so the ending of the franchise will have a good, happy ending. The filmmakers don't wanna go that route in these demon movies, especially when it comes to things related to end of the world prophecies. It is because we are dealing with the seemingly never-ending battle between good and evil. I just watched The Omen trilogy the other night. The ending of The Final Conflict is a bad one, only because it is too swift. Just like this series, we need to see more of the constant struggle the dark side deals with as it tries to think of ways to win that final battle. I hope Jesus wins, but the excitement, the horror, the evil goings on will continue until that day comes. That is probably why these horror movies dealing with the Antichrist will never have a happy ending. Just like PA: The Ghost Dimension has a bad ending. There needs to be another movie! i hope not! we only got brief glimpses of what Toby looks like. Besides, the story is not complete. What is he ultimately after? To walk the earth in human form? Will he always do demonic deeds, like befriend children and kill their adult family members? If they do make another PA movie, they need to impale him with a crucifix!!! Send him back to Hell, for good!! Make the outcome be ultimately happy! if a demon appeared in my house, i would get any and all Christian artifacts, Bibles, crosses, etc. to send it back to Hell!! I wouldn't EVEN, not even for a second, to help it. A demon is never good. It will always be deceitful. You could NEVER believe it! If you make a deal with it, you are hellbound!! It will take you to Hell, unless you destroy it. Back in the 70's, there was a horror movie called "Devil Dog - The Hound of Hell". The movie featured a rottweiler. I guess the filmcrew remembers that movie, and decided to use rottweilers in all three Omen movies. I agree! Harvey Dean was pretty weak. He was not even sinister or scary, or threatening. If he was a dark, foreboding, scary character, then yeah, it might have added some spookiness to the movie. He was just a lame sidekick of Damien's. He kissed ass, and just did whatever Damien told him. Damien is the son of satan. Harvey Dean did not even fit the part of the anti-christ's henchman. Remember all the other movies with the devil in them? We see demonic looking characters, like dwarves and other minions, making us, the viewer, cower with fear. Remember "The Witches of Eastwick"? That weird aid of Daryl Van Horne's, who always wore the white suit? That was creepy as hell. Yes, it is a comedy movie about the devil, but Jack Nicholson pulls it off beautifully, as usual. It had a creepy vibe to it, with that guy wearing white. This movie had no creepy sidekick of Damien's. Dean was a loser, who turned on Damien at the end. Yeah, Damien told him to kill his own son, but he was so hypocritical. He had no problem killing OTHER male babies. When Damien told him to kill his OWN son, he freaked. yes, i agree. Damien's death is so sudden. It's like Palpatine's death in Star Wars Ep. 6, Return of the Jedi. He is this great sorcerer, master Sith lord, totally evil, and he is using force lightning on Luke, ready to kill him. Vader picks him up, and throws him over the ledge into a chasm of the Second Death Star, and he dies. There was no great battle, no great scenes of back-n-forth bloody fighting. It's just so fast and uneventful, and boring. In this film, Damien, the anti-christ, all powerful, all vile, wicked, and evil. He knows when adversaries are out to bring him down. He kills them with ease. It took the woman who he JUST had sex with the night before to stab him with a Megiddo knife, and kill him. No struggle, like you see in so many movies, where the adversary is super strong and powerful, and he is fighting the good guy, also super strong and powerful Damien dies so fast. Totally anti-climactic. There shoulda been a bigger fight. When the time comes someday, when the battle of armageddon happens, you KNOW there is going to be a long, drawn out battle, between the forces of Good, and the forces of Evil. It's for all the marbles, for either the world to be saved, or the world to be under the permanent control of the powers of darkness. You KNOW there cannot be just a few minute end. It will be drawn out, for a long time! Maybe years, maybe centuries. Yes, and also, Jesus is known as the Lion of Judah. In the Bible, the devil is referred to as a roaring lion, ready to devour.
