Yes, it won the Oscars it deserved. I don't think it was Best Picture material but the Aca-dumb-y selected a weak field and it was definitely better than some of the other nominees. That said, it should have got a Production Design nom.
Johnny was dumped for unproven allegations, so it will be interesting if this thing gets dropped since there is overwhelming evidence about her abuse. But given that she is a wahmin in Hollyweird, it's doubtful they'll even take action, since it will further destroy the credibility of the #me movement.

Agreed, Dern was the best actor and was justly rewarded for it. The fraudulent, plastic acting of the main roles was distractingly bad, at all times it felt as if one was watching a Hollywood movie. It was in no way natural and reminded me of those kids in High School drama who tried way too hard.

These are very good points, the average attention span of a millennial is 8 seconds; the attention span of a princel is even less. They have to churn these out to keep the character$ in the public consciousness, regardless of the quality of the product.
It's coming out in a flat period and looks a bit too Batwoman-y for cinema. The princel audience is quite limited.
Probably just over US$300 mil. It's still a DC movie after all so it would have been crap regardless of wokeness or not - I doubt wokephobes would have gone all in even if they did take all the woke feminut propaganda out, Harley Quinn is still a rather niche character. SS was driven by starpower and riding GotG coattails, Wokey Quinn was about 2 years too late.
