<b>SAVE FERRIS</b>
Yeah......I still occasionally do.
What I was surprised to find out is the fact that people are still shooting and developing still photos on film !! 😲

HA !! This was the first place I turned up when IMDb shut down the comment boards back on February 20th, 2017 (somehow seems like A LOT more than just 6 years ago!), before eventually stumbling on IMDb2.
Nice to know the class of this place has now been lifted with your arrival !!

This now marks the second time I've had the rug pulled out from under me on boards like this......first with IMDb, and now IMDb2.....
Hmmm........maybe I just need to learn to stay away from those 4 particular letters.....
On the other hand, maybe it's kind of like 'practice' for dying.......you know.....one day it's here, and the next day it's not.........and as much as we may hate it, there's not a DAMN thing any of us can do about it.....
Anyhooo......anybody know how to add photos, GIFs, videos, or even a simple emoji to comments in this here dump ??

Yeah, having lived in Milwaukee all my life, this show NEVER felt like it really "existed" here....
That said, L & S at least made A LITTLE effort to seem (somewhat) "Milwaukee" by at least including the insert shots of the (real) Milwaukee City Hall and the (real) brewery scenes (which I just found out were actually filmed at the (now defunct) Schlitz Brewery back in 1976) during the opening credits...
Happy Days, on the other hand, made almost NO effort to include ANY shots of actual Milwaukee buildings/structures/locations during the show, but DID tend to mention actual Milwaukee-related (or Wisconsin) names (Pfister, for example....the name of a famous hotel here that's been around for more than 125 years) from time to time.....
.
The one thing I inadvertently did <i>not</i> mention in my above explanations, is the fact that any mention of specific scenes (i.e., "scene 12: "Typical Americans"") or time codes (i.e., "particularly from time code 39:07, to 39:10"), refers to reference points found on the original DVD release of this movie.....
;-)
"The Oscars really need to recognize more Comedy performances in film and acting."
I agree......they get so full of themselves sometimes, it's just a bit sickening.
Drama, Action, Horror, Thriller, Comedy........it shouldn't matter. A good film, is a good film.
Lighten up, Academy!
"If you saw me, you'd wanna change that comment"
And, apparently, incredibly humble too.....
"I thought it worked. It's not like Bill Murray's gracing the covers of romance novels or anything."
This explains it PERFECTLY......besides, the heart wants what the heart wants, even if it doesn't make any sense to anybody else.
Also, and most importantly.......it's just a movie.
You're all missing something here.....believe it or not, it was Tripper's way of showing Morty his "love" for him.
We males often have trouble expressing our (positive) feelings about others, especially when they are males (and even more so, males in positions of 'authority'), but by doing something like this he was demonstrating to Morty (someone considered the "enemy", by his underling C.I.T.'s) his 'acceptance', by caring enough to mess with him in the first place.
I know.....it sounds absolutely stupid, but that is EXACTLY how (many) men operate.
Think about it.....you usually don't go to such lengths to screw with someone if you have absolutely no feelings for them. No, if you have no use for a person, you would normally just ignore them, and interact with them only when necessary, expending as little energy as possible simply because you just don't care enough to do anything more.
By pranking Morty, it was his (admittedly childish) way of including the "boss" in their fun.....
"I also noticed that many of the "bonding scenes" between Tripper and Rudy are absent in the original script...INCLUDING the part at the "bus depot" and scenes of him and Rudy playing cards in trippers cabin and him giving Rudy the PA announcement job while Tripper is on the canoe trip. Without these scenes--the movie would be MUCH less meaningful, IMHO...."
You put your finger on the EXACT thing that raised this film from being just a fun, goofy, enjoyable little movie about summer camps, and elevated it to something much more, by giving it REAL heart !
"You make one good friend a summer, and you're doing pretty well...." (Tripper to Rudy, Greyhound bus scene)
"I wonder if I will ever find someone that truly gets this film like I do....."
There are more of us out here than you think.....
