Yeah I saw it for the first time today...I bought a digital copy of it on Vudu. It's a damn good movie and Melinda is definitely lonely! Her odd behavior really does seem textbook Asperger's...and not to be mean but it's hilarious...I swear I have a crush on her 😭 ..makes me want to find a girl on the spectrum.

So a supermarket chain called Wegmans in my city actually used to rent vhs tapes and video games in the 90s..they had a decent sized section in the store almost as a big as a blockbuster. And the supermarket I bought it from had VHS tapes for sale kinda like on impulse buy racks... usually the hot new releases that would for sure sell.

To show the reality of teen life and how easy it is for a girl to become manipulated into being nothing more than a cum dumpster that's passed around...At first she did what she did to be popular...and quickly it got out of hand and she felt dirty...still wanting nothing more than the attention of the popular Boy and his friends...she continues to put herself situations where she gets taken advantage of. This shows how the lines of consent can quickly be blurred.

Its one of the greatest underrated endings...a young kid who knocked up his GF, being pretty much forced to marry her...at one point thinking his life was over...but everyone comes together to throw him an engagement party...singing his gangs theme song. Love it.
