Just because you don't watch true crime television doesn't mean a lot of other people don't. Netflix is producing so much of it that a parody show called American Vandal was released to instant praise. Making a Murderer, The Staircase, Dateline NBC and 48 Hours all have huge numbers, its not in my dreams its just a reality your ignorant little brain won't acknowledge.
Real crime and serial killer shows are some of the most consumed content on TV, there is a station dedicated to it called ID. Is it that surprising a couple journalists are trying to be the first to get an infamous serial killer to speak on tape after 40 years of silence. It would be more realistic if there was a line of journalists and TV correspondents waiting to see Myers at that asylum.
It was Dr. Sartain who let the journalists bring the mask into the asylum. We find out later in the film that the Doctor lost his mind and became evil treating Michael for 20 years.
It's true, Steven Spielberg was friends with Jack Valenti the head of the ratings board back then and after the angry reactions from parents seeing a man getting his heart ripped out in Temple of Doom, Steven pitched the PG-13 rating to Jack and the rest is history.
Boyd wasn't supposed to survive the pilot episode. Reactions to his character were so strong after a test screening of the pilot that he was written into the series right before it aired.
I was born in 86 and got the VHS at 10 as well. I remember seeing some of my fav movies at that age, Aliens, Road Warrior and Desperado to name a few.
For my money Into the Blue has the best Alba butt shots. Camera just follows her perfect ass under the water jiggling for a good quarter of the movie, worth buying on blu-ray for that alone.
People are creating hype over the 100% on RT. It just means no critics hated it, receiving no scores below a 6. I just saw it myself and was entertained through out, found all characters were well written and performed. At just 94 minutes the movie moves and never feels boring, if anything I could of spent a little more time with Lady Bird. I gave it a 9 on IMDB.
Check out Subscene.com, should have what your looking for.

Awesome take on The Matrix and its sequels. I'm not a fan of the sequels but the original is one of my favorites. You've explained the sequels to me far better then the Wachowskis did. I'm going to watch the whole trilogy again sometime in the near future, with your comment in mind I'm thinking I'll appreciate the sequels a lot more.
No Way Out (1987) Kevin Costner, Sean Young and Gene Hackman are all excellent in this awesome thriller with a killer ending.
Extreme Prejudice (1987) Nick Nolte, Powers Boothe and Michael Ironside star in Walter Hills underrated gem of a western.
Brain Damage (1988) Funny and twisted horror movie about a guy who has an evil alien attached to his brain stem and is pumping a very addictive drug into him. To get more of the drug the alien demands human victims, insanity ensues.
The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970) Giallo Master Dario Argento's first film, brilliant mystery that keeps the suspense going until the surprising and satisfying end.
The Vault (2017) Bank heist meets haunted house movie with a brief appearance from James Franco. I'd recommend skipping this one, was terrible with no redeeming qualities.
The Babysitter (2017) Teenage boy has a beautiful babysitter with a crazy secret. Wasn't sure what to expect, though not great I found myself entertained for most of its short 88 min run time. Had an 80's movie vibe I enjoyed.
The Sleepaway Camp Trilogy (1983-1989) Classic slasher series that becomes very tongue in cheek with the sequels that star the hilarious Pamela Springsteen. Worth checking out if you enjoy 80's horror movies, for the record I love them.
Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017) Intense jail movie with a Grindhouse flavor starring Vince Vaughn in one of the best roles of his career and hopefully he continues taking on more movies like this in the future. Its not perfect, but for my money its pretty close. The first 30 minutes drag a little bit and could of been trimmed down but other than that small gripe I'd say this is taking a high spot in my top 10 of 2017.
Thor:Ragnarok (2017) Asgarrd is in danger from Thor's evil sister Hela the Goddess of Death. Another entertaining chapter in the Marvel Universe, go check it out if you still enjoy superhero movies.
I am not a fan of musicals, I've tried too watch a few over the years but just don't enjoy people breaking into song every 5 minutes, takes me right out of the movie.
