I thought about that and I came up with this: straight after he heard the quick shriek and Tupperware breaking,
he then saw the 'balcony couple' rushing to get inside with their mattress and sheets because there was a sudden downpour of rain. As they were rushing in, the hubby dropped something which was hanging from the balcony, all the way to the ground below, which made a small 'crashing' sound. Now I assume Jeff attributed the earlier Tupperware breaking to something similar and nothing because there always seemed to be some noise coming form the various apartments. A quiet complex it was not.
I don't think it was an editing error - David has shown himself to be completely useless at his job, hence the redundancy. He didn't do the report that Neil asked of him - the report that he said would be ready by today and yet Neil came in there to find that 'THIS' had been the fruit of his labours (game show hosted by David Brent). As for the fax, he probably did get it back but quickly forgot about it and forgot he even received one in the first place (did noooo get an agenda).
Hahahahaha!
Could you.....??????!!!!!
Quick answer: this is not your average 'time travel' type movie. Evan can only 'go back' to when he has had previous blackouts. He blacked out when explosive went off, he blacked out when in the basement, just after getting whacked in the face by the crazy boy...........so all in all, he can only change or prevent occurrences within that particular blackout at that particular time.
Haven't seen the film in a while but I thought Tilly refused to do the towns' peoples' dresses and was offended that they even asked. I thought the other dressmaker (the awful one who was drafted in to rival Tilly) did the ghastly Shakespearian dresses and Tilly did the Mikado ones - hence those dresses looking gorgeous (maybe I'm wrong and Tilly did both designs).
Think it was (regarding throwing McBride out) '....eating all our food! Muvva-effer's GAINED weight since he's been here!' Haha that line cracks me up every time!
I also liked it. I think the people who didn't like it, didn't understand the movie (I got it straight away). The whole thing was a metaphor for how the media/television controls us and controls how we think. The televisions in the movie even have they're own heartbeat, like a life of their own. The dad is a definite sheep/follower (remember how he used that same analogy when roping in his daughter's boyfriend - something like 'we need to lead the herd') - so the dad blindly and without question, does everything the tv tells him to, even if it tells him to torture his 'sleeper agent' son (I know, right!). The son who came home unexpectedly is definitely not a sheep or a follower and has a mind of his own, hence the reason he is estranged from the family (the sister yelling out 'you think you're always right!' is a clue to this). The racism portrayed in the movie can also be seen as a consequence of the media putting fear and hatred of Islamic figures in our minds, due to the high number of 'terrorism' acts of late (speculation of such even came on the tv, where the crotchety granddad agreed with the news report, fact or no fact). As a result, the family openly show their racism towards the Asian girlfriend of the son who came home. Anyway, to cut a long story short, by the end of the movie we see the dad, who was always a sheep/follower, now completely taken over by the tv (like a puppet), everyone dead but the newborn baby is now a follower/worshiper of the tv (the tv kept saying 'worship me, worship me'). The tv will now be the newborn's everything - mom, dad, sibling, babysitter and therefore, as is always the case, will be raising this newborn.
'Negro character'????? Are we in the 17th century or something? How about not sounding racist and offensive by just saying 'black characters' or 'characters of colour'!?
I have a couple of favourite scenes: 1st one is the scene where O'Quinn interrupts the making out of Stephanie and her young boyfriend-to-be and the mother yells at him and says he's ruined the progress he's made with Stephanie and it's 'ALL YOUR FAULT!' The switch of O'Quinn's face is just brill! His eyes just went evil! The 2nd is the 'wait a minute - who am I here?' scene, followed by the 'thank you honey!' WHACK of the phone to the face!!!
There was a reflection of him in the mirror when Grace first swung the wardrobe open, you can see him swing by in the reflection then she left it open at an angle of which you could no longer see him.
The name of the song is Doin' it Right by Daft Punk.
I looked it up too because I loved it when it came on so downloaded it for myself.
Why does everyone keep saying it was not Allie and WHO is Rachel?? At the dance with the son you can clearly see Allie in a sequined band on top of her head and she had on the SAME sequined band on top of her head in the bedroom scene with Noah! Come on guys!!
I really believe that Adele had the affair with her male colleague only to hurt Emma and what's more hurtful in a lesbian relationship? Sleeping with a man. It's complete immaturity on Adele's part, but let's face it, she was not as mature, or as secure in herself as Emma was. Intellectually Adele was not on the same wave length as Emma and this caused her immense insecurity. She believed, as we the audience did too, that Emma was having an affair so I believe that this was just pay back.
No the steep hill episode is the one where an older uncle set up a pretend kidnapping of his nephew, with his nephew so that he could get his hands on his trust fund, but then the uncle ended up killing him for real and tried to frame his nephew's estranged wife. I only know because I watched it again the other day but cannot remember the name of it.
Are you kidding me? That actor is extremely handsome and his skin was just like smooth butter! I thought he was perfect for the role. I wanted to swim in his skin!
That's exactly what I was thinking. I'd be like hell nah - something ain't right here - lemme get the hell outta this building!!!
Incestuous how? Seriously? Did you not watch the movie?
I think that by the way Sally acted afterwards, like a love sick puppy, Harry knew the relationship would become doomed. He didn't feel THAT way about her until before the last scene in the movie, where he realised he actually was in love with her. Remember he said before about how men always think about how long they have to stay and hug a woman after sex so he's probably thinking he didn't expect to be in this situation with his good female friend.
