Favorite scenes

I have two favorites...

The first is the awesome scene where Stephanie is in the basement getting ice cream and Jerry comes down the steps and doesn't know she's there and goes nuts! "All we need is a little ORDER!" "Why won't they just leave me ALONE!?" Then he sees Stephanie and he's like "Hi, honey." All sweet. I could watch that a thousand times.

The second is when the wife confronts him about not being employed at the insurance agency anymore.
Susan: "Maybe they just forgot your name."
Jerry: "What's so hard about it? Hodgkins."
Susan: "What?
Jerry: "Wait a minute...who am I here?"
Susan: "Jerry...?"
Jerry: "Oh, that's right. Jerry Blake. Thank you, honey."
Then he turns around really quick and smacks her in the face with the phone.

I thought that was so well played by O'Quinn. The way he says "Wait a minute" makes me laugh every time.

The best scene is when our heroine takes a shower. If it weren't for that scene, this movie would have disappeared off the face of the earth long ago. It is fit for the Lifetime Movie Network (edited, of course) only.

My favorite scene is when O'Quinn's Jerry Blake gets done reading the article about his last murder rampage and folds the newspaper into a hat, then rolls his eyes upward into his skull. That look O'Quinn had on his face always made me laugh. I used to imitate that look all the time when I was 12. I would place my self in view of a group of girls at school, do something to get their attention, then imitate that rolling-his-eyes-upward-into-his-skull grimace. Then they would say in shock, "Omigod, look at him!"

I like the whole movie, my favorite scenes would have to be the ending scene's from seeing The Father go nuts to seeing Jill's bare ass to the final showdown between Father and Stepdaughter

I love the whole movie too! :)

reply

Well a lot of your guys favorite scenes may have been when Jill is naked, but my favorite scene is the opening when Terry is naked! O:) I love the whole film but the opening is the best!

reply

WHo is Jill. I just watched this movie a few minutes ago and don't remember a Jill. Where is the nude scene of Jill?

Love the opening, with Terry naked! He's soooo sexy!
The "wait a minute" scene and when Jerry freaks out in the basement after reading the journal are also great!
Jill is the actress who played Stephanie

I loved the opening. I also love the freak out scene with Jerry and Stephanie see's this. I liked the showdown between Jerry and Stephanie. The wait a minute scene is great as well. The scene where Jerry freaks out over Stephanie kissing Paul freaked me out. A good movie all around!

The part where Jerry and Jim are in the house, Jerry's hiding behind the door, and he sees Jim and says "Jim Ogilvie!" with the most cheerful expression on his face. Jim points to Jerry's cheek and says "that's blood", and Jerry brings his hand up to his face, and sees his bloody hand and the knife...

Jerry's meltdown in the basement.

The opening sequence with Terry O'Quinn calming walking past the bloodied corpses of the latest family he's just murdered and walking down the street blithely whistling "Campton Races" to himself. It's chilling as all hell.

I write bios, therefore I am.

Agreed 100%! To top it off, I JUST realized I'd only seen a kind of 'half-edited' version of the film and not seen the opening sequence in its entirety. I came upon it on YouTube tonight, and was stunned . Its muuuuch more gory and disturbingly-shocking than I thought!!!

The way the camera goes slowly past the happy photos of his family, smiling and embracing, and then settles on the butchered corpses of what was his loving family......*shudder shudder shudder*.

@ bartman 81492 - Telephone Face Bashing Scene my favorite too.

My other favorite is when he is showing the house to that new family and he is pushing the little girl on the swing and he forgets who he is and the little girl busts him out - saying you said her name was Stephanie and Jerry is all like "Yes Stephanie..."

The facial expressions of Terry O'Quinn are freaking priceless. He just chills you to the bone

YOU MADE ME PLAY SECOND BASE!

reply

Jerry getting baited by his "customer". His face goes totally blank, before answering "North" in a chilly monotone.

I have a couple of favourite scenes: 1st one is the scene where O'Quinn interrupts the making out of Stephanie and her young boyfriend-to-be and the mother yells at him and says he's ruined the progress he's made with Stephanie and it's 'ALL YOUR FAULT!' The switch of O'Quinn's face is just brill! His eyes just went evil! The 2nd is the 'wait a minute - who am I here?' scene, followed by the 'thank you honey!' WHACK of the phone to the face!!!
