Barry Lyndon is the most beautifully photographed movie ever made, many scenes shot with only candlelight due to the lenses Kubrick adapted for use with his cameras. It's also highly entertaining, sort of dry, but darkly comedic. I like it too. It's the only Hughes Brothers movie I like. Menace II Society is like Boyz n the Hood Lite, Dead Presidents has it's moments but seems really amateur, and Book of Eli is so on the nose. From Hell is the only time I thought they nailed it. That video was great, they had sort of Leia Han moment at the end there. No it's definitely great Dogs are a big source of joy for me, and nature is definitely worth mentioning. I love the beauty and serenity of the wild outdoors. It cost so much, and maybe the business it did wasn't what the studio wanted given that price tag. Box office is virtually irrelevant to my enjoyment of a movie, not to mention the fact that I wasn't alive then, so I have no perception of its reception at the time. Oh I forgot Cleopatra. With Liz Taylor and Richard Burton. Love it Hard to hate sex and beer right? When Burton and Depp were top of their game, special mention for Ed Wood 1994 for all the same reasons Pulling a real Daniel Day-Lewis perhaps, like how many times has he retired? Don't know, he seemed to be taking a lot of ambiguous responses and PMs in a decidedly negative light, so it may not have anything to do with what waa actually said but his perception. I hope he comes back I love Burton's Sleepy Hollow! Barry Lyndon True Grit (Coens) The Master Phantom Thread Spartacus He seemed to think your apology thread was made solely to make fun of him, which I didn't take from it at all. There was really only one person throwing shade and it wasn't you (IMO) Yeah perhaps you're right, and it's his right to quit. I've just had some good chats with him. I never indulge super trolly stuff, and I know he's capable of constructive chatting, but maybe he did spend more time stirring the pot. I did look at his history, and while I agree some of it is a little nonsensical, I'm still not sold on the trollishness. As I said before, he does seem weird, but if there's no place for weirdness on the internet, I just don't know. I'd hate to suddenly get ganged up on for my weirdness which I cherish. I. Love. Gyllenhaal. The Jake variety mostly so I will check it out. I loved Nightcrawler so much. Even though they're not super prolific yet it's worth mentioning the Gilroys, Michael Clayton by Tony and Nightcrawler by Dan are two of my favorite movies of the last 15 years Tom Ford! A Single Man is one of my favorite movies, but I haven't seen Nocturnal Animals yet Oh I neglected Cronenberg, he's wonderful. I like Ed Wood and Corman too. Corman's Poe Movies (as a director before he switch to mainly producing) aren't really cheesy bad at all. Not to mention all the careers Corman is responsible for jumpstarting. I'm sure they went to sleep and will be up raging bright and early. One thing I didn't consider before is maybe Bucky is a lot younger than me. One mean thing could have done me in back in the day, but now I'd be surprised if someone's online words could affect me like that.
