Who the hell was 40 in Grease?
My thought is that they just released an excellent documentary on the guy so who was really clamoring for this?
The fact is, if you go back far enough into all of entertainment's past, there would be very little to watch these days....
My whole thing is, when doing market research to put up many millions of dollars for a film, how did they realize this was something to take that chance on? Who wanted it?
It really just goes to show how Hollywood is living in an echo chamber these days and how it has to end at some point.
I want to thank everybody who posted in these threads, because I basically feel the same way. I know there's no going back, but at least we were around during those years.
Lack of interest doesn't at all surprise me. This is Star Wars in name only.
As long as people with worldviews like you know that it will never be mainstream, then we can co-exist.
Just want to say that despite monetary gain, in every interview I've seen him in he doesn't seem to be enjoying his life.
I noticed that, too. Are squibs and fake blood gonna break the bank?
Every single one. Only Reservoir Dogs was on a re-release.
He had his own space in the music scene, so cheers to that
It doesn't matter, honestly. I witnessed them busing kids into the film when I went to see the new Tarantino flick. I'm against these tiresome remakes too but the general public seals the deal.
It would have been an epic end-of-career role, but Dern pulled it off very nicely.
Yeah man, I've been there, too. Leo nailed it.
Dude, if you put a Tarantino film alongside an Ocean's or Expendables film your opinion is already irrelevant. Don't even bother coming around anymore.
Scrape, I see you are very interested in this film, but I'd have to say there are many more lulls in the film than in the earlier classics. Many slow parts but it does pay off in the end, I think.
I agree about that film. I appreciate the fact that he made up for it on this one.
I'd put it in the top 3 along with Resevoir and Pulp Fiction, but hey, I've only seen it once and that opinion is subject to change over time.
Yeah, I've always been a "first showing" guy all my life for SW, but The Last Jedi ended that streak.
