Yeah, they celebrated it. There was one episode called The Little Atheist where they have dinner at Mike and Gloria's house. Gloria is pregnant with Joey. I don't know if there are any others. I know there's one in Archie Bunker's Place when Mike, Gloria, and Joey come from California to celebrate it with Archie and Edith.
No problem :) Wow, I guess I missed the line about him being on Michael's side. That's on me.
LOL, yeah, I paid attention, I just figured he would be a psychiatrist who was just obsessed with finding out why Michael was the way he was. Like Laurie said, I thought he was the "New Loomis"
This is my second favorite Halloween right after part 4.
The music
The atmosphere
I really like the characters. Budd could be a jerk, but I don't think he was really a bad guy or anything. I thought it was sweet how Jimmy had a crush on Laurie. I liked the brother/sister angle. I think, had they not made anymore with Michael Myers like they intended, then this would have been a good ending. Michael is killed, and she and Jimmy move on. Dr. Loomis sacrifices himself to save everyone. I also really like the Mr. Sandman song at the beginning and end of the movie. :)

I enjoyed this one. Did I like it better than the original? Nope. I even like II [1981], and part 4 better, but I enjoyed it. The only Halloween films I don't really care for are 6 and Resurrection. I am 30, and I appreciate good horror movies. I think some are overrated, and some are underrated. I do agree that it seems like a lot of people can't be satisfied anymore. I feel like people are always complaining when a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie comes out.
I didn't like Resurrection because Laurie gets killed in the first twenty minutes, and the rest of the movie just didn't have that Halloween atmosphere, in my opinion. I didn't like 6, because I didn't like what happened to Jamie's character, either. I like the idea of a weird cult trying to control Michael, but it backfires on them. I didn't like the baby story-line.
A lot of people don't like part 5. I like part 5, the only things I didn't like about it was the killing off of Rachel, and Dr. Loomis being a jerk.
Anyway, we're talking about this version. I give it a 6/10. I would have liked to have explored more of Laurie's PTSD, and her strained relationship with her daughter. I didn't like that a kid was killed off. I was actually surprised by the new psychiatrist being nuts. I did NOT see that coming! I didn't like that they showed too much of Michael's face. I get that they wanted to show that like all of us, he's aging, so he is human, but they showed too much of it. I really like the rest of the movie, though. Michael getting his mask back is a great scene, and I find the mask in this version pretty creepy.
Maybe Tina didn't know what the mask looked like the year before. Plus, I doubt they would have pulled that prank on Jamie or Rachel. Just the two dumb cops. Good thing they were lousy cops, lol.
Aw, well, to each their own. :)

I hated that Tina left Jamie crying and scared, but she redeems herself when she sacrifices herself for Jamie. I don't think she really understood all that happened the previous year. She probably thought that Michael was dead, and she thought Dr. Loomis was crazy and making Jamie think the Boogeyman was real. Had she truly understood what happened the year before, I think she would've taken it a little more serious. I hated that she left Jamie, but like I said, she made up for it.
Aw, I enjoyed it :)

I first saw this movie back in 1999 on VHS when I was 11, and I loved it! I wasn't scared, but it did have quite a few creepy parts. I did jump a little when Laurie is putting the key under the mat and you see The Shape and it gets really loud. I also felt really bad for Tommy. It's a great movie and I watch the series every year. :)

Halloween II (1981)
Halloween 4
Halloween H20
And Halloween (2018)
would have all been good ways to get rid of Michael Myers once and for all.
Really, it wasn't that bad. For a remake, I actually didn't think it was that bad. The original is better, yes, but I still enjoyed it. RZ's 2 is okay, but not a favorite.
No problem :) I dunno what it is about 4, I just love it
I saw the Rob Zombie sequels first in theaters, and then the 2018 one last night. I first saw the original Halloween back in 1999 when I was 11 on VHS and loved it. :)

I thought Jamie was the focus of part 4? Either way, Rachel was a huge part and one of my favorite characters, and I hated that they killed her off.
Halloween
The Exorcist
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Last House on the Left
Jaws
Carrie
I Spit on Your Grave
Yeah, you're right, now that I think about it. Who knows? They could've stopped someplace else on the way there for gas or something.

I haven't read through this thread yet, so forgive me if this has already been brought up, but it seemed to me like her parents didn't really care about her or like her for that matter. In the first movie, her father reminds her to drop the key off at the Myers' house, and he says it like he's kind of annoyed. In part II, when Laurie has that dream, her mother says to her, "How many times do I have to tell you? I'm NOT your mother." She was pretty rude, and then it shows Laurie as a little girl visiting Michael, and she's alone. Why would they allow her to be alone with him?
And then they just take off out of the blue, not even concerned about Laurie's well-being.
Well, in the fall it gets dark earlier, so that could explain it. Plus, they stopped to talk with Sheriff Brackett for a few minutes. Now, that I think about it, though, at the beginning of the film, Tommy runs up to talk to Laurie, but later on, Annie has to drive her there. Just a goof, I guess.
