Hollywood like congratulating each other on how amazing they are and hand out Oscars as a reaction to past ctriticisms.
Somebody points out that there have been no black Oscar nominations one year. The next year we have a black Oscar winner. For the next 5 years after that no more black Oscar winners even if deserved.
It's the same with all minorities. Hollywood use them as a token.

I'm specifically talking about Hollywood and their self-congratulatory back slapping and knee-jerk reactions to past criticisms when it comes to Oscar picks.
The controversy probably saved the Oscars this year. People will be tuning in to see how many Oscars it can lose.
And her behaviour didn't change towards him. She continued to be an ass to him, and he tried harder to fawn over her.
Boo hoo. Poor little guy threw a tantrum when the nasty man didn't like a movie he liked.

I saw Anora and Emilio Perez. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Anora's first act was annoying. Excess porn. Intentionally annoying but still excess porn.
2nd act was great.
Final act was cringe worthy watching Igor fawn over a toxic materialistic prostitute who's fluent in sarcasm and her natural state is "attitude". Poor guy, so lonely and desperate he wanted to be in a relationship with that thing.
It was a lot better than Emilio Perez which was a misguided mess from start to finish. Does that criticism hurt your feelings?

Probably refused to work with people he didn't like, but isn't that most of Hollywood. But to walk into other studios and bang fists on tables to not hire people is a bit of a stretch.
If a director/CEO/Studio wanted to hire the new hot young actor, they would. Harvey Weisntein wouldn't even be in the room when another studio is deciding who to cast.
Sometimes actors can blacklist themselves by getting a bad reputation, and they still end up getting work.
Ali Larter for example. Very difficult to work with, antagonistic on set. Still gets hired here and there. Not much in big budget movies because she killed her own career with her bad attitude over a period of time. Directors just want to work with easy people, that's why they always hire their friends and you see a lot of recurring actors in certain directors movies.
Maybe Harvey could start the ball rolling to spread a rumour that an actor is difficult to work with, but then they have to be proven to be difficult to work with a few times before they get ushered out of the industry because no director wants to work with them.
To say Harvey can march into any casting room for any studio and tell any director not to hire somebody, and this lasts indefinitely, is a big stretch of the imagination when you really think about it.
Now, Miramax may have had a hand in Ashley Judd and Mira Sorvino not being cast for Lord of the Rings. But Lord of the Rings was going to be made by Miramax and went through many stages of pre-production.

Peter Jackson says he was advised that these actresses were difficult to work with. Probably during his time with Lord of the Rings at Miramax. And he decided to take the bait and not hire them. He could have chosen otherwise.
So Harvey could lose them hires within his company, if he's producing the movie, and he advises the director not to hire them. But he can't cover every studio and every single director out there to "blacklist" somebody out of the industry for the rest of time.
She left the industry to have a family. She's stated it multiple times. Plus she had multiple friends in the industry being a nepo baby and the wife of a famous movie composer.

And I don't think Weinstein had that much pull with other companies. He couldn't walk into Warner Brothers HQ or 20th Century Fox or Universal and tell the ever-changing CEOs who to cast and who not to.
If they wanted to hire somebody, they would.
I'll be so happy if it wins all 13.

Hollyweird didn't hear about it until too late and bodged the token Oscar pick this year.
Should have given it to a more worthy gay film like Challengers. But I guess the "trans" trump card is to powerful.
