HA!
The guy who belongs to a party known for Q-Anon conspiracy theories and worships a guy who's most well-known personality trait is being a liar...wants you to quit spreading conspiracy theories and telling lies! LOL!!! :)
(Before you call me a lefty...I think both Trump and Biden are liars and not worthy of our Presidency...anybody who feels one of those two should be President of the USA needs their head examined. I just found it funny that someone who belongs to the Conspiracies Party and worships a known liar complained about conspiracy theories and lying today...where have you been the last decade?!)
I forgot to mention Mr. Kurzweil's new book, "The Singularity Is Nearer", is out now. It's a great read. https://www.amazon.com/The-Singularity-Is-Nearer/dp/B08ZJRMWVS/
It's the follow-up to his landmark 1999 book "The Singularity Is Near". In the 1999 book, he predicted we would reach AGI (Artificial General Intelligence), a pre-cursor to the Singularity, by 2029. Almost all of his colleagues scoffed at this prediction. One even made a sizeable wager with him that 2030 would roll around and we would still be without AGI. As of today, the prediction markets at Metaculus.com are calling for us to reach AGI by 2027. (Kurzweil is sticking to his 2029 prediction but feels it's very conservative at this point.)
Something you will be hearing a lot about in the next few year is something called "Longevity Escape Velocity"...a process in which technology will add more than a year to your lifespan for every year you live...this could be reached by the early 2030's, as per Kurzweil's prediction. If this occurs, anybody who lives until 2045 will likely approach near immortality. PS - I know how weird and crazy all this sounds. But, again, this isn't coming from me, this is coming from one of the top scientists in the world -- and the longest living person studying AI in the world...he's been studying it for 61 years. He's unbelievably well-respected...and he thinks most of us will live forever.
The speed at which technology is advancing, my friend, is what is referred to as "exponential growth". Anyone who has ever played around with the arithmetic of compounding and exponential growth knows how crazy the numbers get as growth feeds on itself. The phenomenon is quite real in the real world, and it describes everything from viral epidemics to Warren Buffet's fortune. Kurzweil applies the exponential growth paradigm to the future of technology. He sees not only change itself accelerating, but the rate of change too. The math starts quickly approaching infinity, which is why it's so weird.
Let's say you needed work done at your house for a month...a neighborhood kid says "I really want the job. Not so much for this job, but I want you to hire me in the future too. So I'll work for just a penny for the first day...just double the amount you pay me each day for the month and I'll do the job no problem." You quickly think to yourself "Hmmm...a penny on the 1st day. So that's 2 cents on day 2. 4 cents on day 3. 8 cents on day 4. Sheesh, that will never amount to anything in a month! Boy, this kid really wants the work! I'll hire him!" Little did you know, the kid pulled a fast one on you...on the last day of the month, you will owe him over $10-Million dollars that day alone!
That is what is happening with technology. Did you hear about Tyler Perry cancelling his planned $800-Million studio renovations? Why? AI. He seen the newest AI video generator (SORA) and knew there was no need for his studio. And...Just a few years ago, this technology seemed decades away.
The Perry article: https://variety.com/2024/film/news/tyler-perry-studio-expansion-openai-sora-concerns-1235920007/

And here's simply a GREAT article on AI, Ray Kurzweil, and how we could actually live forever, and soon: https://waitbutwhy.com/2015/01/artificial-intelligence-revolution-1.html
So what do u think? :)
This has no chance whatsoever at being profitable. Or winning any awards. Or even the 4 parts being completed. Dances With Wolves, it is not.

Weekend At Bernie's 2
Kill Bill Vol. 2
I'm going with a 9 as well. Might be a hair too long but I really liked it.
I thought Fury Road was good - and the effects look better in Fury Road - but there was a couple things I didn't like about it. Like the quick flashback cuts/visions that Max was having...thought that was kind of lame. Max himself was a bit unlikeable in certain areas of the film, found myself rooting against him sometimes. I'd give Fury Road an 8.5.
Furiosa wasn't perfect but it had some elements like comedy and even romance that you don't normally see that much in Mad Max. I might even go see it again.
They put a chick in it but they forgot to make it lame!
Yes...it was way too lame for any word-of-mouth success to come out of it.
Thank you! Agreed.
Thank you! :)
I hear ya...I seen better acting out of the extras in Matthew Broderick's Godzilla than what I saw in the main cast here!
🤣
