I was born in 1983 and it's my favorite movie.
I don't know what else to say to you. *shrugs*
NO.
She's playing a respectable wifey type
Yup, and machine guns, both readily available in 1860s Nicaragua
I agree.
It was funny, but not FUNNY funny.
The problem is that this film thinks it's funnier than it actually is.
It was okay, but thinks that it's Trading Places or something.
Don't worry, I'm an American and I don't get "Friends" either
If you don't like the glorification of violence, then why the hell are you watching a Tarantino movie?
And if you don't like the "n-word", then why the hell are you watching a Tarantino movie?

Black American here.
Watching this movie, I was just stunned by how much the culture of anger, desperation, and dysfunction is parallel to what we see in the "hood" here.
It's like I know these people, who get drunk, fight, beat their wives, yell at their kids, and leave those same kids vulnerable to the predators of the world
It's like the ghetto's the ghetto all over the world
The one BIG difference between here and there thought is the gun culture.
In the American version of that, there's more driveby shootings

Dude, the purpose of art is catharsis.
Art is how people deal with all kinds of shit.
THAT'S THE POINT!!!!
I agree. This was a stunning debut.
I can't remember a more unsettling realistic portrayal of addiction, dysfunction, and just the pettiness of family that most movies don't nail.
seahawk just got pwned
Seita was like 12 wasn't he?
You act like he was a grown man or something.
And no, if my underaged niece & nephew showed up at my door, I wouldn't consider them parasites.
Like, seriously?
