Indulgent Hollywood claptrap!

Typical of the immaturity of Hollywood's denizens. Play out their family *beep* on film.

As a catharsis for their wounded souls!

*beep* off you child, grow up, get over you self-indulgent,woe is me, I'm so hurt by my family lifestyle!
Mommy never loved me, Daddy never loved me! *beep* you , no one should ever be forced to love you! Earn it, you over emotional lil bitch!
NO ONE CARES!

This film is the worst of its type!

What a moron. This was made entirely outside the Hollywood system. And please tell us, Curt, what kind of movie you DO think is profound if all things involving "family *beep*" are "indulgent" and "immature." Maybe human relationships in general are too lame for you? Would you prefer some exploding buildings and giant robots? Oh right, you've got a soldier as your avatar, so I guess it would have to involve machine guns. What a man. I'm sure you weren't born of weak woman, you were no doubt spat out of a manly cannon in a burst of searing flame.

Ya did just that in spades with your review of A BIGGER SPLASH. Couldn't agree more. What a steaming pile of pretentious *beep* Nothing in it rung true at all. Especially that karaoke scene and Swinton's reaction to Fienne's corpse. Laughable. Worst film I've seen this year.

Anywho, very keen to check out KRISHA. Hope to do that soon.

To the op, you have obviously never faced the pain your dysfunctional parents have caused so please don't reproduce where you will unconsciously act out all your b.s. onto your poor children. Oh it's so mundane to face family pain, I"ll just pretend it doesn't exist! Yeah I'll just invent a new way of being a human that is rooted in the crappy and unstable ideas of my fragile and authoritarian culture co-opted mind! Sounds great.

Gee wiz, sorry you had such a horrid life. I do hope it's better now!
As to your wish for my life, and my children's lives to be a mess.. sorry to disappoint. I have lived a wonderful life as have my 4 children.. I am so sorry to tell you about the positive world we live in! Does it hurt to know that we are all happy, healthy, educated and moderately wealthy? I made a point and posted it on an open forum, and you thought I was wrong.. fair enough. I'll make sure to pray for you and yours. Bit busy right now.. but I promise to do so when we all get home from Hawaii! It's been a very relaxing 14 day(on day 12) vacation! Maui is good for the soul.. you should try it!
