Yeah, I'd rather have good writing than anything else. I love special effects, who doesn't? But they don't make up for a lousy script. And, of course, if both writing and production values are bad, it's lose-lose.
I'm beginning to prefer movies over series. Develop an idea and be done with it. Don't drag it out so long that you have to pad it with useless material.
Do you think Netflix is trying to churn things out too quickly and aren't putting enough thought into what they create?
I'm willing to give it a chance and see if it goes somewhere. I can think of so many series I was not impressed with at first, that I grew to love. It might get good.
Really? Oooh, that's not good. I watched the first episode and I liked it all right. I just hope it has some interesting ideas and isn't just an action series. I don't mind action, I just hope it goes somewhere.
Were you thinking maybe he killed them? Or something like that?
My impression was that she left him and took the kid with her.
Still, I do think MasterMoron makes a good point. I wondered about that, too. In the episode it was the cookie being subjected to the cruel and unusual punishment. The guy who actually did it was just sitting in jail, wasn't he?
I'm surprised no one has asked how you know
what urine samples taste like
!
Heh heh! So how do you know??
Okay, here you go!
LOL Thanks for the link. That was fun!
It would be interesting to know if somewhere, sometime a woman went ahead and had a baby because the dad wanted it. Surely that's happened at one time or another.
I'm not sure it was a joke. I think it was just a story to tell in order to start up a conversation.
You're welcome!
I wonder why they would think that's a good idea!
This is one of the reasons I was disappointed the show got cancelled. It would be interesting to explore the implications of having a platform like this. It could be used for good. It could be used for bad.
In the show, the purpose wasn't "let's all tattle on each other" but that could be one of the outcomes, depending on how the system is set up.
You may no longer be interested, especially since the show's been cancelled but here is where the name came from.

Thanks, you're very kind. As you can see above, it's been a long time.
Oh, wow, it's been 18 years!
I throw stuff away. But sometimes I regret it. I went through a painful divorce and tossed everything. But now I wish I hadn't. My relationship with my ex is good and there were a lot of clever, artistic notes that I wish I'd kept. Or maybe I was right to get rid of them.... my heart kind of hurts as I'm writing and remembering.
It was sexual misconduct accusations. However, I read that the show cancellation was also due to low ratings.
