and some satsuma oranges from Santa Claus! You know a Timelord should probably not reveal themselves to humans, so.... ;) I enjoyed it once I got past that it wasn't going to resemble the actual lives of Houdini and Doyle - i.e., Doyle was Scottish not English (though he might've actually talked like that, according to something I read, probably on IMDB chatboard); Houdini and Doyle met much later; Houdini was already married to Bess; Houdini's mother passed away at a later date, etc Agree he'd make a great choice, and I also liked him in Dirk Gently (wish they'd made more episodes!) and Houdini and Doyle (whatever happened to that show? It didn't return!) There are only a few episodes left! The next episode, then the one with the Cybermen, and then, I think, "The Doctor Falls" (ooooooh, ominous!) You know, the first thing I thought of when the TARDIS took off was that it was taking itself away from danger - but then there really wasn't anything that would've put it in danger there. I read that there was going to be an episode with
The Master and Missy together! To me, that's exciting and interesting because it hasn't been done before. It'd be cool if they could find actors to play the Delgaldo and Ainsley incarnations of The Master, too.
There seemed to be more to it than just dropping the handbrake. As I wrote on the other thread, if it's not resolved in an upcoming episode it's just a spot of "convenience" to suddenly have the TARDIS take off like that. Maybe Gatiss just couldn't think of what to do with Nardole in that episode? If so, that's just bad writing. I hoping Missy had something to do with it, so that Nardole would have to come to her for help. And what did that scene in the TARDIS at the close of the episode mean? No, I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out! I'm sure I saw those two Classic Who episodes but it's been so long... The photo clue in the Radio Times article was a really clever way to hint at Alpha Centauri's return. The monks trilogy brought one of the best exchanges of dialogue in recent memory: Bill: "Nardole, are you secretly a badass?" Nardole: "There's nothing secret about it, babydoll!" Of course written down here doesn't do justice to how well the actors played it. Also, in the first part, the bits on the execution planet were very funny, especially when they looked up The Doctor's record and ran away (which reminded me of Colonel "Runaway" from the episode A Good Man Goes To War) Whether or not you're a "fan" is irrelevant. By your own admission you're not watching the show, thus you have nothing new to say, nothing new to add other than "this sucks!" Your dislike is duly noted, but incredibly tiresome. You're a troll whether or not you believe you are. PS: The BBC still does not care what you think, and you're putting incredible self-importance on yourself by thinking that they do. I want to discuss the show - good or bad - with people who are actually engaged in the current story line. And that's not you. The difference is you aren't actually interested in discussing the show. You're just trolling about how much you don't like it - while misrepresenting anyone who calls you out for this as wanting "one sided praise." And no, no one at the BBC is paying attention or cares about what you have to say, so your posts will in no way contribute to it getting better. If you dislike this season so much, perhaps you could do us all a favor and stop posting here until it's over. Otherwise, you're just trolling.
