and that Guy Pearce movie Lockout.
Both movies have the same characters type like from Escape from New York.

He was in the Buffy Vampire Slayer movie, he was also in Jeremiah, at least in 10 episodes of Oz, did the voice of Rick Jones in the 1990s Incredible Hulk cartoon; Biker Mice From Mars, voice of Sub Zero in the USA Network Mortal Kombat cartoon show

the sequel doesn't change anything from what happened in the first movie. I doubt you even watched the first Silent Hill movie.
in the sequel, Cheryl the daughter is brought back to the other side of the living to be back with her father. the cult members from the first movie are after her sine she escaped dark Silent Hill. Not that damn hard to understand
