Look how stretched and inelastic their faces look. Plastic surgery and botox. What happened to growing old gracefully. Miss the times of Audrey Hepburn, Vivien Leigh, Katharine Hepburn, etc.
Didn't you know? They celebrate memorial day in the rest of world too.
You should watch their meta review on the last transformers movie, and the starwars reviews. I spat out my drink when I saw their geek reviews. They wer spot on about the other shallow reviewers.
Gone off Stuckman, Jeremy, Collider, Screen Junkies. Now I watch RedLetterMedia. You need a really crass sense of humor to appreciate their jokes though. They always make me laugh though, and with Mr Plinketts Reviews talk about things that no other reviewer even comes close to.
From the movie on the night when he and the knights killed all the other Jedi trainees they were already turned. This was the same night Luke was about to kill him in his sleep. But are you saying they had the same skills as Darth Sidious and were able to hide their darkside from Luke, better than Kylo?
I think if you don't take it too seriously you can actually still enjoy the movie.
I prebooked my tickets an watched it twice. Next time I won't be so stupid.
Precisely, how the on on earth did she pick up that skill. Who on Earth taught her that. Mary Sue alright.
I would've thought the shield works like that in Star Trek. It's not like a permanent energy wall, rather it fluctuates very fast, so that their inner lasers (timed against when the shield is off briefly) can shoot out. In Star Trek when you get their shield frequencies you can literally shoot through their shields.
My guess is hyperspace is so fast it can pass through the shields when they are cycled off.
Good point. I think the Tie Fighters/Interceptors were built for speed, maneuverability and better weapons. The sacrifice was the shielding.
I suppose I can settle on the armor being cheaper to make and the laser being smaller caliber
True. I tried to think of ways to do it. Like it's attracted to the ship or the target has it's own gravity. The bomber will have to negate that somehow to prevent the bombs attracting to itself. But yeah, I agree with your point, since all the other bombers in SW are propulsion based.
They could've at least given Akbar a nice line. Like 'Itsa crap!'
It could be a ruse.
He could still be Darth Plagueis. If he fooled Darth Sidious into believing he killed him he can very easily fool Kylo.
I mean come on, he took his time trolling Kylo with threatening to kill Rey.
I think there's bounceback.
If you watched Rogue One
when the rebel fleet were just about to go into hyperspace, they failed and looked battered when Vader's ship exited out of hyperspace right in their path. Somehow, it looked to me that they took damage when their hyperspace jump point was blocked. So something physical can block them
That's stupid. Of course he knew or at least suspected. I mean look at his last scene.
Problem with that is , the rebels were always on the run even in ANH. The Empire had the time and resources to secretly build the DeathStar. In FA how on Earth did they manage to build an even bigger planet killer (granted they scoped an existing planet).
When the New Republic had the resources to take them head on, you would've thought they would go for an all out assault on the base. They beat them at the battle of Jakku. And that was the Empires last stand.
It made more sense they would be hunted by the Empire. But you're telling me the New Republic concentrated all their resources on those few planets and can only muster one Calamari Cruiser with a few support vessels.
ESB is more coherent to me
Don't know if you've seen Big Trouble in Little China. While still that showmanship, but at least the fight scenes in there are better. And that wasn't even taking itself that seriously at all.
Yeah, bit of a ripoff of ESB.
- Luke goes yoda mode dying from exhaustion.
- Salt planet with AT-AT assault.
- New Republic making a run for it and constantly chased by First Order.
- More serious tone with comedy elements, even drafted the soundtrack from ESB in certain scenes.
- Meeting a friendly character that betrays them
- Master and apprentice training.
- Facing your enemy and failing
and more...
You think they doing this deliberately, because if you complain about this, it's like taking a dump on the original series.
I loved the scene when the pink petals started whirling in the air and then he get s up with his walking stick and disappears into the petals
The choreography was terrible. Notice the guards in a the background making really long winded moves and hesitating before even contact. They should've added some crappy strobe lighting to hide this rubbish.
