I swam all the time as a kid. I was obsessed with the ocean and sea creatures so a pool was the closest body of water I could access. I eventually stopped and rarely swim now, though I'm considering taking it up again. Easier to have an adult play a teen than to have an actual teen. They can work longer hours. Doesn't Hollywood fuck most factual shit up? I can understand not being 100% accurate with how things are done, but they should at least make a better effort. Woke shit was always around, albeit not as extreme as today. Rambo 4, Star Trek 4, Friday the 13th 4, Halloween 4, Nightmare on Elm Street 4 are all considered good installments in their franchises. Part 5 is where things usually start to get shitty. I always figured he said "fuck" and they just wanted to keep it rated PG. But AmeriGirl26's post is making me re-think it. Maybe he did say fudge. That's the impression I got. A theory some people present is that O.J.'s son did the murders. I agree, it should have just been two films. The studio got greedy. I agree. I thought The Blair Witch Project was very boring. Ghostwatch is better and a little known classic. I did enjoy Curse of the Blair Witch, the pusedo-documentary that came out around the time the film did. Let me know how it is. I never even heard of this before. I'm a Michael Dudikoff fan because of the American Ninja series. 1-6 are good imo, as for the rest I don't really give that much of a shit. They fucked the brand the shitty sequels and barrage of TV shows, so it's certainly overrated now. I just said "Godzilla 3D" at the ticket counter at the theater. They knew what I was talking about. It's meant to be serious, aside from some intentionally humorous moments. I'm sure the actors knew it was shitty while making it. I'm sure they tried their best though. Samurai Cop 1 was better. This movie is like other new ironic B movies, where they try too hard to be cheesy and goofy, but as you also say arty, where as the first one was by some guy trying to make a serious movie and failed, and that's where the comedy comes from. I liked Hollywood Cop. It's a rip off of Lethal Weapon and as goofy as Samurai Cop. Killing American Style was more boring, I think nearly all the action takes place in a house and it's not as fun. It was fucking boring. Titanic 666 (the sequel to this?) was slightly better. Nic Cage makes it slightly less depressing with some humor. Maybe Godzilla Minus One made audiences more hyped for this one. To the OP: I like your version of the theme. It sounds as like it would been the theme if Psycho was made in the 1980's/late 1970's.
