The various theories are interesting but I think it really just boils down to the fact that they can't afford the special effects budget to have Nymeria in multiple scenes. Just look at how Ghost was largely MIA for most of last season and all of this season so far.
I'm sure Sansa explained in detail exactly how Littlefinger's convinced her to marry the people who murdered their family & how she had to endure being repeatedly raped and brutalized by Ramsay & barely escaped with her life. He has every reason to be hostile towards him and he doesn't play games like Littlefinger and always up front about how he really feels which could be argued may not be wise with someone like Littlefinger who always holds his cards close to his chest.
Everyone's got a different opinion but yeah I definitely thought that story arc was totally useless and would have been left out. It weighed the show down. Apart from the story arc feeling tacked on I found the character neither interesting or sympathetic. Just an amoral creep who's scenes I struggled to sit through. If this show gets renewed (not sure it needs to be) I hope the character is dropped.
It was alright, had potential but wasn't great. Bateman was okay when he wasn't Michael Bluthing it too much It really could have done without the FBI agent and his excessively gay story arc which felt tacked on & ultimately dragged the show down more than anything.
Much of the luster of this long anticipated showdown has been lost (in the show at least) IMO since
#1 The Hound already got destroyed by freaking Brienne, significantly diminishing his baddass-ery.
#2 The Mountain is Frankenstein like Zombie who can't even talk so it takes away from the personal animosity/rivalry between the two.
Di$ney is extremely pro homosexual and would love to do this but at the same time I doubt at this point they are willing to go all out to make a major political statement in one of their biggest franchises that could very well hurt it financially and at the very least wouldn't help. The demographic these films are geared towards are young children and & naturally their parents while the main demographic of people frothing out the mouth with cult like obsession, pushing this agenda are a demographic that these films aren't for. Teenagers/Young adults to older adults without children. These people don't really care about this film. They just another opportunity to push their cult like agenda on a major platform.
The Finn character had so much potential on paper but they pretty much went out their way to ruin him, making him as bumbling and pathetic as possible to co(o)ntrast God mode MaRey Sue.
