I've been meaning to watch Incendies. I'll hit that up next.
I'll hold off on the horror for now. Maybe once I conquer English-language horror, I'll try some out.
Cinema Paradiso was the favorite movie of one of my old teachers.
1: Can't make it all the way through and it somehow offends my fragile sensibilities.
2: Can't make it all the way through but it doesn't offend me.
3: Made it all the way through with a great deal of effort and patience.
4: Waste of time.
5: Mostly watchable, completely forgettable, but I'm not mad that I wasted time on it.
6: Moderately enjoyable.
7: Good but doesn't quite tie it all together. I revisit a lot of these and often change their rating.
8: Very good and recommendable.
9: Excellent and worthy of "one of my favorite movies" status.
10: Endlessly rewatchable or, less commonly, so profound an experience that I hesitate to rewatch it for fear of corrupting that first viewing.
Thanks for the encouragement Dewey. Anything from the past couple years you'd recommend? (Train to Busan excepted)
Run Lola Run
City of God
I wish I could post more, but it takes a lot for me to get past the subtitles.

I was surprised when I saw its low IMDb score. Then I watched it. Kubrick rightly disowned it. Tough to get through.
Anyway, here's the current vote. Please remember: add one vote and subtract one vote per day.

I disagree man. If anything, I think they cancelled Human Target too late. I wish they would have cancelled it after season 1 instead of letting it go to the dogs in season 2.

Took me a few read-throughs to get it.
Great show. And by that I mean it was okay but it had great moments like that.
You wouldn't download a car...
This guy^^^^^^ ;)
Like the movie all you want, but don't act like being dated is perfectly acceptable and only a product of time.
Dated films tend to lose their message because they only applied it to certain people in a certain time period. Let me use 12 Angry Men as a popular example. It's about an all-male jury (back when that was the law) about to send a boy to the electric chair (back when that was more common). And yet, it's themes of speaking up for the helpless, considering prejudicial bias, and standing for your ideals (until they become destructive) all resonate today.
For the most part, Marty is also timeless. Two social misfits finding love - fighting those closest to them to get there.
Something like the mid-90s blockbuster and special effects exhibition Casper has not quite been as great a friend of time. It is a much more recent release, but feels much older and less relatable than either of the 50s classics.
