Thank you for sharing this this! I was unaware of Squeak, but I am familiar with thesquirrelboard.com. They have 9,477 members! I though R.E.M. were one of those things from the 1980s/1990s that we're all trying to forget ever happened. Now I'll be thinking about this song for the rest of the day. "Now face north...now face west..." Not as much as sadpopcorn has. Hey, he had a good run, but it couldn't last forever! Decomposing! Cec Linder (as many commentators have pointed out) is far too old for the role. As someone once said, "Linder looks like he should be Bond's uncle, not his friend in the espionage business." Statler and Waldorf from The Muppet Show! 1978 also gave us the Star Wars Holiday Special! avortac4, is this you back in imdb days??? Considering the success of A Very Brady Renovation, the audience is still out there. True, that was 5 years ago. A lot of people would watch it just to see how bad the new show is! I seriously doubt it. Spielberg was very involved with Crystal Skull and 95% of the fan base hated that movie. That fact alone assured that Dial of Destiny wouldn't do as well as hoped. If Disney is to blame for a financial failure, it's only because they invested too much money in a movie younger people weren't interested in. In the (well attended, but not sold out) theater I saw Dial of Destiny in on opening weekend, it was obvious that everyone there was old enough to have seen the first 3 movies in the theater as well. You're right about "that Deadpool money". Couldn't we just for once have a non-cynical, non-smirking, retro-action-adventure movie about a hero who's actually admirable? It is a classic! Wish more people would give this movie a chance. It really captures what the late-1980s/early-1990s were really like. Instantly thought of two: 1) The Brady Bunch house. 2) Bronte's (Andie MacDowell) NY apartment in Green Card (1990). 60 Minutes has been ethically bankrupt and journalistically indefensible from the beginning. As far back as the 1970s, they've been called out for quoting out of context and editing video, but everyone just seems to turn their heads. The show is endlessly promoted as an award-winning, cutthroat-journalism monolith that everyone must bow before, yet when they're caught in "indiscretions" like this one, they just ignore the accusations and wait for the news cycle to turn. And generations of bored TV-viewers lap it up because what else is there to do on Sunday nights? 1. Planet of the Apes 2. John Wick 3. Fast & Furious 4. Mission Impossible 5. Has there ever been a horror IP that doesn't become more laughable as it becomes an endlessly rebooted franchise? Thank you for posting the UFO "Rock Bottom" and NOT the Kiss "Rock Bottom"! Thought of another one: Colin James Hay's "Looking for Jack"! Ruh-roh! Thank you for posting this. 60 Minutes has been editing interviews and quoting out of context for decades. When confronted, they just hide behind all the "awards" they've won, as if that justifies everything. I'll never understand why anyone, regardless of political affiliation, takes their "journalism" seriously, other than for entertainment purposes.
