Well he sorta had a line, but Tyrion said it. Tyrion actually solved a problem for them by killing their father. Tywin knew about the incest and was going to split them up. I won't spoil it by saying too much, but 2 minor characters to pay special attention to throughout the seasons: - Lancel Lannister: he's the wimpy guy who is the king's servant in season 1 (mostly brings wine to him). The guy from the breastplate stretcher scene in episode 5. - Grand Maester Pycelle: old Maester guy with long white beard who works for whomever is on the Iron Throne and for most of the show is a member of their Small Council. Olenna planted a seed of doubt in him before she died. It goes back to Olenna killing Joffrey, then Cersei blaming it on Tyrion when she knew it probably wasn't him. If that didn't happen, Tyrion wouldn't have been on trial, Oberyn would not have been killed, Myrcella would not have died and Jaime would not have had to watch her die, knowing he was powerless to save her. Olenna wants Jaime to know this more than she does Cersei. It was her hatred for Tyrion that got their daughter killed, and she even called Tommen a traitor in the first episode this season. Now with Euron inserting himself into the situation, she wants Jaime to wonder how long it will be before she turns on him, too. I expect something will happen to make Jaime believe she is trying to kill him and it causes him to kill her. Though the truth would be that she still loved him, and it was someone like Euron who was stirring the pot. Some of it is due to cutting down the episodes, but also some of it I believe is intentional. Like they want the audience to share the confusion or surprise with the characters. The promos made it look like Dany was easily going to conquer Westeros, but in the full episode we see things are not going as planned. We see Grey Worm take over Casterly Rock, then he is confused because he expected to fight the whole Lannister army, then he asks the guy where they are. He says this to get the audience asking the same question when they appear in the very next scene. In the final scene, Jaime explains to Olenna what's happened. The scenes this season won't necessarily be on the same timeline. They showed Arya scenes last week and no Bran scenes to tease the audience thinking it was Arya at the gate. Arya arriving at Winterfell is as big as Jon meeting Dany, so they are making us wait just a bit longer. He knows what he's doing. Cersei's plan is to string him along until after the war when she doesn't need him anymore, then refuse to marry him and probably have him killed. But he already knew this and has similar plans- he will become so popular that she is forced to marry him, then he has to get rid of Jaime and the Mountain. After that, he can do whatever to Cersei and there will be no one left to retaliate. He is also "Knower of Nothing" Dany's fleet was mixed with Ironborn, Dornish ships, plus whatever she captured from the slavers (those were painted black with Targaryen sails). A lot of them were destroyed last week, what was down there in this episode were the few from Dany's fleet that were used to carry the Unsullied to Casterly Rock. Euron was destroying those ships, and this means Grey Worm and his soldiers will have to go from west to east on foot to get back to either Dragonstone or King's Landing. He knows what she is, but he also believes you can't choose the ones you love. She's a monster to others, but not to him. I think if that ever changes, it will be what makes him turn on her. And Euron is pushing those buttons, so at least 1 of the 3 will have to die soon. Davos was the MVP for that scene. He is great at arguing Jon's case, just like he did with Lyanna Mormont after she smacked down Jon and Sansa. It's supposed to be one of the shortest runtimes ever, like 50 minutes or something. But I bet most of it will be the field of fire battle. In that dungeon scene, I kept thinking something was off, Cersei hasn't ever had that color lipstick. I didn't catch what was really going on until she went to kiss her. Jaime knows Tyrion is in charge of strategy, so he already has a good idea what they will try to do. Plus like he said, he learned from his past mistakes. I still think Tyrion has a trick or two up his sleeve, but he doesn't yet have everything he needs to pull it off. The lazy answer is that The Citadel has instruments to measure these things and a year is however many days they say it is. They've already shown with Edd at The Wall how Bran gets people to believe him. Since he binge watched the first 6 seasons in abut 20 seconds, he can tell people things about themselves that would have been impossible for him to know. Purple Toast She could be the fire equivalent to a White Walker, and Jon is a fire wight. Howland Reed may know. Maybe that's why they call him Ghost, cause he's always around, but rarely seen.
