Yeah that got me as well, especially as it was so unexpected.
'Under the Shadow' also has a good one, It's a window scene.
No 'Arlington Road' or 'Hell or High Water'?
This ^
And whoever said Dear Zachary was also correct.
Manchester by the Sea made me weep like a schoolgirl too.

1) Jiro dreams of Sushi
2) The restaurant scene in The French Connection
Spoorloos is a good call. Really disturbing. And Cache and Irreversible. I hated The Mist.
I'd add 'Eden'. Almost no violence or graphic nature, but disturbing, mainly as it's based on a true story.
Royalty Hightower (The Fits), 2015
7/10

A Tale of two sisters.
Great call. Easily up there with the best.
Great post. I'd add 'The Eyes of My Mother' to the list of recent horror movies that have impressed.
Agreed. Blue Valentine is a stunning movie, with 2 stunning performances.
Michelle Williams is just a scintillating actress.
Totally agree. It is one of the best romantic dramas I've ever seen. Close to 10 out of 10.
H. Needless nonsense.
This movie just didn't need to be made. It was absolutely dreadful. Good guys versus bad guys with explosions in space. Enough. Please stop.
Agree. It was awful. A war movie should be serious. This was, at times verging on a comedy. Casting Vince Vaughn was a terrible mistake. His one liners made me laugh out loud. Awful mis-judgement. Then again, I guess he was only playing along with the awful script.
Platoon is a war movie.
Full Metal Jacket is a war movie.
Hacksaw Ridge is a superhero war comedy.
You 'bailed out early' ?
You missed one of the best movies of the decade.
Broderick is a long time friend and colleague of Director Kenneth Lonnergan. He's collaborated with him in the past on other movies and plays. I think they went to college together.
So while you may think it was a bad bit of casting, i don't think it's completely random.
Agree entirely. It was far batter than Interstellar. The concept of Arrival is mind blowing.
I think it is fair enough if you didn't like the film. But I believe so many people are too lazy to look into it's deeper meanings (E.g: peace, communication, death) and instead feel the need to vent because they didn't get Aliens blowing up planet earth.
