I’ve never noticed a skull, I always assumed that Corso was unintentionally referring to himself. I.E., Balkan summons the Devil, and it is Corso who appears, not some apparition.
But if there is a skull there, that would definitely be a tasty detail.
Your response is unintelligible nonsense.
“Interview” does not belong to you.
Yes, this series is a valid adaptation.
It’s a very mild shame that you did not enjoy or appreciate said adaptation.
And yes, I was very serious.
It’s such a fun quirky product of it’s time, and you should definitely check it out. Don’t deprive yourself of this joyful experience.
There might be a bit of validity to this theory.
People on this thread have been writing that the age of “American Beauty” has to do with the non-mention in this recent trailer.
But I just watched a trailer for an upcoming Zach Braff movie, and it prominently states that it is from the writer-director of “Garden State”, which is also decades old now.
So maybe there was some political decision behind the scenes that compelled Mendes to refrain from mentioning “American Beauty” on his list of accolades.
Or maybe Zach Braff is so damn irrelevant that mentioning “Garden State” is the only thing that will get his fans up and moving.
They were ancient Amazonian specimens from a bygone time.
I think Sigourney Weaver and Linda Hamilton would like to have a few words with you.
In all seriousness, I really am a big fan of her particular strangeness, even moreso since she got all those dangling singing meatballs surgically removed.
Also, be wary of tossing her any gold coins from a second story window.
Yeah, you better talk nice about her, or her father will find you and beat you into tomorrow.
Totally agree with the entire sentiment of your post.
I was also quite skeptical about the series, but decided to give it a chance.
Also love the way Lestat and Louis were performed. Lestat especially very much conveyed the spirit of the Vampire Lestat from the novel.
Was absolutely delighted by the inclusion of Armand (can’t wait to see how this storyline progresses!)
I feel like this series might actually work for a younger (contemporary, probably college-aged) audience who is not familiar with the original works, who then might be curious to check out those novels, which would be pretty cool.
For someone like me, who only read “Interview” way back when (I know the basic synopses for the other books, but have yet to read them) and then saw the “Interview” film, it was very cool to spend eight weeks enjoying an inspired re-imagining of the whole thing.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this series will stay great.
It seems to be a very polarizing series. I didn’t like the early seasons, but I very much enjoyed the final two seasons, and thought the finale was perfect.
I think they probably did. We know for sure that the Driver gets away, and I assume that the only reason the Driver even gets hired for this kind of work is because he has proven over time that he possesses a definite efficiency in getting his criminal cohorts out of danger scot-free.
But then again, maybe they didn’t, because these particular hoodlums seemed quite rattled and reckless.
Sounds pretty cool. I spent a lot of fun hours playing Gran Turismo in my childhood. Never heard of someone actually becoming a professional racer from being inspired by the game.
Driving the Nurburgring is on my bucket list!
Good stuff!
It really is a classic.
I kinda don’t mind the prospect of Willem Dafoe just going crazy inside a locked room, haha! Could be entertaining.
I can’t guess what the story might be just from the trailer, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s either a revenge story—where Dafoe’s character wronged someone in the past, and is now paying for it—Or maybe he’s just a thief who tried to rob the wrong person.
Or—now hear me out, though this would be quite disappointing if I’m actually correct—maybe it’s his apartment all along and the movie is just a chronicle of his crazy process to create more art.
Hopefully it will be an interesting film, because I definitely intend to watch it eventually.
She also had a really great role in one of the later episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
The source material has not been ruined, it has been re-imagined. And having watched this series through to the end (of the current season) I have to say that the creators actually have a lot of respect for the source material. Yeah, they took some artistic liberties, and changed the time period and yada yada, but the spirit of the novel is still there. Lestat is awesome and a total douchebag, Claudia is vindictive and terrifying, and Louis is meandering and brooding, just like they were written in the novel. There are plenty of Easter eggs for the fans.
And [SPOILER ALERT] they even brought Armand into the picture, so the makers of this show aren’t bullshitting us, they actually did their research.
This is simply a re-imagining, and a pretty good one.
Take it or leave it.
He certainly played a great Rorschach.
Didn’t much care for his Freddy Krueger though.
However, I hope he still gets work, because he is a great actor when utilized properly.
Lol
You’re right
I called him in the morning and he told me what to do
Yep, and then I felt much better!
