There really are many more examples and it’s hard to take the OP seriously for thinking 2018 was the “groundbreaking” year for the first female to lead an action movie.
shareExcellent example! She actually had a character arc where she had to struggle to become a focused assassin while at the same time a character arc where where she developed from a mindless thug to a feeling emotional person.
Remember when badass female characters had qualities that developed throughout the story?
