Only if v you are a jazz musician. Then why is it socially acceptable? Why did our former first lady hold vulgar rappers in high regard as "role models" for young people? I think it is a double standard. 50 degrees C Galaxy Quest, 5th Element, Princess Bride, The Jerk. When they're on, I can't turn away. It's a good double joke. Just watch it. They didn't cut out any alien boobs or anything. It's proof you can make actually still make a great movie that is PG. He brought gravitas to anything he was in, even Hitchhiker's Guide (sorta . . .) No biggie. I didn't word it the best way possible. As an analog to Bill Shatner, he may have made a bad deal and doesn't receive residuals from the series. I recall Nimoy was the only one savvy enough to get character likeness rights back then. Maybe he paid it off back when he was in the green stuff, now convention gigs pay the insurance, taxes, and utilities so he has to keep doing them. Or maybe he has money still, but the cons pay to well to turn down even though he dislikes (or is burned out from) doing them. Reminds me of Galaxy Quest, which I love. Remember, this was 1960. It seems like a trope now, but it was fresh at that time. You have to (or should) watch these older movies through the eyes of someone in that age. Though, now that I think about it, there is a Chinese restaurant in my town named Oscars. I haven't been there in a while, and I miss that. They have good Mongolian beef. To clarify . . . I didn't miss not seeing the Oscars. I have (on the app). I looked at the trivia and goofs, then immediately to where the message boards were (for the same movie), then remembered it was gone. Bummer. If you based your movie (TV too) watching on who weren't jerks, pedophiles, druggies, rapists, raving liberals/fundamentalists, etc., you might as well sell your television. I didn't miss it. Also, I didn't see it. I liked the trivia and goofs, and sometimes filming locations. Too bad it doesn't work from the app. I used to do some ammunition reloading, so I used this name on some outdoor and reloading forums. It kinda stuck.
