I saw this in a film tent at Glastonbury 2-3 years ago and Tilda Swinton introduced it and then sat down directly in front of me to watch it - and even SHE left after 40 minutes.
Huh. I've never heard of that before!
Cheers.
You're born with all your genes - new ones can't be randomly created by the way you're treated. That's nurture, not nature.
The Walking Dead is also not a kids show.
"Shellfish and homosexuality are two different things. Again what does a female character being a teacher have anything to do with homosexuality on TV shows to explain to our children? You're not a good gay representative in a debate."
These are all things the Bible doesn't allow, thus highlighting your hypocrisy if you claim to be objecting on the grounds Christianity but only bothering to post about homosexuality while giving everything else a free ride. If you want to teach children one is bad, but not the other despite them both being equal in regards of the religion to use as a weapon, then you are a hypocrite.
"Girl with girls has always been tradition" - so this doesn't equate to homosexuality as well? You're a walking contradiction.
OK let's unpack some of this ridiculousness...
"because it leaves a bad taste in children's mouths" - Wrong Turn is not a kids film.
"It's terrible to explain to our children in the great Christianity, but i guess i am homophobic for speaking the truth of traditional lives we once lived" - so do you also want any scenes where characters eat shellfish removed? Or where characters wear mixed fibers? How about when a female character is a teacher?
"if i want to watch two women do it, i'm going to watch porn" - wait... I thought you were Christian? But you get off watching girl-on-girl porn? Masturbation is also a sin, no?
So either you're trying to hide your prejudices behind a vail of religion, or you're a massive hypocrite. Which is it?
It was interesting enough but it didn't need to be 4 episodes long, especially as it ended with them just 'agreeing' she either killed herself or was a victim of a psychotic break that led to the accident.
It was called Wrong Turn: The Foundation when it was being filmed; guess they thought it would make more $$$ if it appeared to be a remake/reboot/reimagining
It was the most boring winner in ages.
She actually said she didn't want to *forever* be associated with him, which points to her being annoyed that reporters run to her for comment anytime he's in the news.
It's like a one-hit wonder saying they've done more than just THAT damn song.
They don't 'get away with it' at all.
I used to work in a London recording studio that was fairly cheap to hire so we got a lot of new bands and artists coming through to record.
Scores of female artists came in with their guitars and keyboards. A lot were sent packing because they were too fat, too tall, too short, or "didn't look right" in any other way, whereas any band made up of barely-washed teenage boys never had to answer for their looks.
With the girls who DID gain some traction, nearly all of them were encouraged to ditch their instruments and present as singers and nothing more. If they don't comply, that's it for them. They had their songs rejected far more frequently and were railed into singing about nothing but love and failed relationships. You could accuse them of selling out, but they were usually young and naive and thought they'd be able to effect change of their own career once they got somewhere.
I find that most singers can play an instrument, at least basic skills, but the industry is all about image and putting people in easy boxes: Guys get bands, girls get a mic and dancers.
We had this cover in Europe:

Which is pretty decent.
The deranged murderers in the 4th *and* 5th episodes were black, so... no
Bundy had been in prison for 7 years by 1985.
Yes! I remember that thread.
I wonder if it's a case of seeing it at a young, impressionable age and our minds filling in the blanks to some degree.
Her 'acting' is really distractingly bad, even by this show's standards, but I'm guessing she was cast for her martial arts ability? (As it doesn't look like she has a double)
Same. The film actually starts out quite well, it's once the shark rocks up in the Bahamas it goes to shit.
Although the banana boat scene is so-bad-it's-good.
Same and for the same reasons - HDD needed a splash of claret to make it feel more like horror.
Vince Vaughn was hilarious as the teen girl in Freaky though.
If you don't like the white male villain trend, maybe stop acting like one?
Also, what was it doing in a school!?
Go to its board on here, there are (or at least were) a few threads complaining about various aspects from the granddaughter and her boyfriend 'pushing a trans agenda' because of their party costumes, to the little kid in the truck 'pushing the gay agenda' because he mentions he likes dancing. It's nauseating stuff.
I like the movie; not the amazing reboot I'd hoped for, but a nice "what if..." companion to H20.
