They weren't a big did in 'Murica because the government thought Americans were stupid and would choke on the toy that can inside. Not sure bow the government could think anyone could choke on a toy inside of a hard to open plastic egg.

It was probably a way to fool us that every joke they wrote was funny. I don't mind laugh tracks in general, but don't overuse it every damn line.
