This one. Mr. Ripley is worth a watch, but this one is better in every way. Well, it is how it happened. Movies from all countries fall into this. I got criticized on the IMDb boards for pointing out that everyone has an American accent in "The Shop Around the Corner" because it takes place in Hungary. I like the Talented Mr. Ripley, but the second half of the movie is just absolutely ridiculous. This film deals with that second half a lot better. It seems more plausible. You should check out The Human Condition trilogy. Nothing spectacular. 7.5/10 I can't find The Burmese Harp anywhere. Better. Show some love to James Cameron. I'm one of the "originals" on here and I've posted nowhere near that amount. Depends. I love the first two Alien movies and the follow-ups are mediocre. I love the franchise because of the first two so I'll watch anything related to it whether it is Prometheus or the new Alien: Covenant. Depends. In particular foreign ones. I've noticed a lack of posts too unless it's something like Psycho or Citizen Kane. I kind of hope when it shows up on "trending" someone might look at the cover and feel inclined to click it and check the movie out for themselves. I'm doing the best I can to start conversations on both popular and obscure films. I hope eventually it will attract newer people to the site down the line. I guess I must've seen that version on DVD because that quality was crisp. Have you seen the 3 hour epic "The Leopard?" I don't know but Costa-Gavras is underrated. It's people like you that made IMDb boards shut down. Your title makes it sound like the 70's were not such a great decade for movies. Either way, I wouldn't even put this close to one of the best films in any decade.
