My thoughts exactly! I came to this board to ask the same question.
Since when does Joy hate Danny? She clearly finally got suspicious of Harold after she realised he framed Danny, as she knew for sure Danny was innocent and Harold was manipulating her.
After all this she should know that Danny isn't the reason for her misery, her own father is.
Also, what is Davos interest in involving Joy? Why would he think she could help in whatever quest he's started on?
I'd like that. This is a show that gives the viewers lots of theories and I like reading what you and others think.

I think her story is 100% real. But your comment made me wonder. Can you refresh my memory on the facts that make it easy for viewers to believe it's false? Apart from the books under her bed, the books are all I remember as a clue on this aspect. Thanks
I find it hard to believe (plus I'm not hoping) that she'll only apear through flashbacks. Although it is also far fetched if she comes back to life. Hopefully James Cameron will find a believable way to pull her back to the franchise.
I'm also really curious about the plots for the sequels. I assume a big part of it will be the humans returning for the valuable material, but I don't want this to become another "death start plot". The death star that kept returning to the star wars franchise annoyed me a little as it was just the same plot happening over and over again.
Concerning Charles Xavier, I'm sure Melanie knows who he is. Not just for begin Davids dad, but for being a powerfull mutant and starting his own school for young mutants. It seems Melanie has done something of the same as Xavier, building a center for mutants, where they can learn and explore their abilities. Seems like Melanie is taking in mostly grow-ups though. Anyways, I think they know eachother well

Yes this got me thinking about the fact the David wasn't able to let Wallace (the memory guy) further into his memories, they were blocked without his control. Could have something to do with your theory!
Also if Syd is a part of this, infiltrating his mind... she could be orchestrated by the Eye. Will be interesting to find out :)

I noticed Emerald City popping up on the Trending section several times today, at least 5 times, without there being a recent post. Unless someone created and deleted a thread this many times there's something there. Haven't seen this happen to other titles

Yes I completely agree about the juggle between powers and mental illness, it was one of the aspects that intrigued me about this show. It also differs this show from the hundred other superhero shows we have.
Syd being the only one who could see his memories was curious, yes. So there's definitely something there. And I like your theory, Syd being created by David. That would definitely be interesting to see play out in future episodes. It also very much makes sense!
The network hasn't released details about season 4 yet, we're all waiting in anticipation. Especially who the main character of season 4 will be. But most people predict it will start airing in march or april.
By the way, not sure if you're aware, but the episodes are divided into smaller clips that are released at the time the clip is happening (for ex mondag 2pm). They also post social media posts, like messenger chats and instagram posts from the character. This a huge part of the series, but you can also chose to just watch the weekly episodes, as these additional posts don't contribute to a plot itself, it's just extra material.

They should also link our profiles to our e-mail account, for notifications and for example solutions to a forgotten password, duplicate accounts etc. But I'm pretty sure these things are already being worked on, this site is still a baby. A baby with great potential.

I truly hope not everythings in his head though, the other series that had this type of ending disappointed me. I'd like for most of this to be real - especially in sense of this powers, them escaping from the "bad guys" (can't remember their name right now), basically most of it. But I love the idea of him being both mentally ill and a mutant. I support mental health being more a part of our cultural program and putting this topic on the agenda.
In episode 1&2 I thought Syd was also part of his imagination, but I noticed Melanie addressed her directly in episode 3, so I don't think that anymore. What's your theory about her?
I can understand that you don't find The Martian that good, but surely you wouldn't consider it for bottom 100?

I just posted some thoughts in a new thread on this board (which should be easy to find considering you and I are the only ones active atm).
I'll have to rewatch it after we get more answers throughout the season, I sense we'll get a new perspective on the first episodes at that point.
