You mean like how Trump demanded evidence that Obama was American (despite being shown plenty of evidence). I’m not sure Trump supporters would accept the evidence even if Putin admitted it himself!
It was, I found that so disappointing considering it was a pretty original story and it had such good reviews.
You’ll need subtitles.
The monsters seemed pretty easy to kill... and I have no idea why they didn’t set up some kind of device which would make a noise away from the home when needed. They seemed like intelligent people so I don’t know why they acted so dumb.
I agree that it was a little heavy handed at times but it is scary to any sane minded person to see how we are letting history repeat itself.
Not everything that Hitler said was terrible, he did some good things for Germany in the beginning and personally, I think by turning him into a monster, we are blindly walking into the same trap again.
We don’t even see that if you replace the word ‘Jew’ for ‘Muslim’, we are buying into the same propaganda again.
I agree... it’s black comedy. Obviously it’s making a serious point but that doesn’t mean there aren’t also comedic elements.
Yeah, I always prefer subtitles to dubbing.. it just doesn’t feel the same without the original accents.
I thought they felt exactly like we do.. I thought that because of Coles reaction to finding out what was going on as well as how Walton behaved when talking about what happened to his son. I have now watched the rest of this series and the theme was revisited in Black Museum with the souvenirs of Clayton being electrocuted.. it's definitely something they want us to consider.
Well that's subjective anyway.. you thought it was stupid and bad, I didn't.. there is no explanation for either viewpoint.
That's an interesting question you raise... I think that 'as if they're real' IS the same as far as feelings are concerned. They feel pain as much as the real version of them would do, and I think only an evil person would deliberately harm them. To me it's the same as people saying that animals don't feel fear/pain like we do.
I've only seen the first 3 so far but I didn't like crocodile.. it was too dark for me with her killing the child. There was no good outcome there once she had killed both the parents, but I feel that it was too dark for me.
But even though they were code, he knew they had feelings as though they were real, and played on that to keep them in line. Don't forget, he did throw Tommy out of an airlock.. an innocent child who felt pain as though he was a 'real boy'.
Maybe I will have to give it a rewatch too without all the pressure of waiting to see how it will end.
I really enjoyed the show and got into all the online forums too like dt123, but I did get annoyed with the ending.. I was just expecting something more original as the rest of the series had put in so many little clues and hints of what might be going on... I enjoyed (most of) the journey of watching the show, but just feel that they had hyped up the ending a bit too much.
I've only watched USS Callister so far but I disagree that Daly didn't deserve what happened to him. I think it was fair enough that he wanted to live in this fantasy world, I even didn't think it would be so bad to live in this world... but the way he tortures them is just evil!
I think that was the point of it brux.. it was supposed to be derivative because the main character was obsessed with all these shows. I quite enjoyed the way it pokes fun at them and I did find it tense when they were trying to get the DNA samples. I was also quite surprised that for Black Mirror, it had a relatively 'happy ending'.
I've not seen the other episodes in the series yet.
I don't think it matters whether he was just watching it, or whether he did anything else.. even watching it is funding actual child abuse.
I felt sorry for him to start with, and was questioning what I would do if my daughter told me she had been caught in a similar situation. But then when I found out what he was looking at, I lost all sympathy.
Glad I'm not the only one. I always thought Jim Carey was a bit eccentric, but this documentary made me think he was completely self-obsessed.
