I'm not seeing it. https://ibb.co/6wPY7Sk Do you need your eyes tested? :D It is an interesting point you make. People in the past did just eat less. It's entirely plausible that when the film came out, the question of him not eating didn't cross anyone's mind watching it. That's been my first experience of it also. I doubt I'll watch it a 2nd time to find out differently. I enjoyed the music and I'm a fan of Cleavdon Little (knowing him from Blazing Saddles) and generally like any sort of car chase film. This came up in a recommendation of 10 "1970s Typical Car Flicks" worth a look. I'd watched Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry the night before and was enjoying it far more than this one despite it having many issues itself. I had to stop half way through this to do something and popped on to the net to see what people thought of it. I saw a comment that they thought the story was essentially about dying / purgatory and I probably enjoyed the film more having that slant put on it than I'd have done otherwise. The real fact that's very much true here is that the Catholic Church has spent decades covering up the abuse of their clergy (both male and female employees - and with CSA and other violence against both male and female children) Take your twisted religion and shove it right up your ass...then tell us if you're gay or not for doing so. Like many people of faith, you love to condemn what is perfectly natural in the name of your God all the while excusing evil deeds of your flock under the banner of sin and repenting. You're a disease. Don't think it's "woke" to suggest that the Catholic Church is widely known for having some of the worst cases of paedophilia the World has ever seen that the religion often goes hand in hand with accusations. Many priests being creepy weirdos isn't a far out or modern take on things at all. I saw her in Outlaws first too and thought she was quite good value even if it was as a side character. I'm stunned at her managing the Scottish accent so well in this. I genuinely wasn't sure which her real one was having seen both shows until I looked it up. I wondered this too. It actually didn't occur to me until a few episodes in that he was missing. I was so taken with the Mickleberry story it kinda passed me by and that was allowing for all the (obvious looking back on it) "we'll just call you Andy" type jokes in the first episode. I think they tried to cover that with the water being off entirely. I thought the same when the toilet wouldn't flush. When they showed the shower and the taps not working, I think that was the reason for it. Hope she washed her hands though! :-o A friend of mine saw it last night and thinks it's possibly the worst film he's ever seen at the cinema. Comedy can be subjective and a lot of the time, how much you enjoy a film can be down to your mood of the night. However, what I heard of it, marks it out as awful. That's me just seeing it for the first time last night and I entirely agree with both these points. It's not meant to be an outright comedy. It's just about a comic / comedian. There were a few laughs in it all the same but I thought it was a pretty decent story told about a flawed character. Possibly because after any natural disease, gun crime is the leading killer in the US so there's a fair chance it's what the FBI will be investigating when it comes to a majority of crimes in their remit? It wasn't a cover was it? I love Strangers When We Meet as the OP suggets. There's a Buddah of Suburbia version too which is different from the Outside take. They're both fantastic. I started listening to Outside a few years ago having initially dismissed it other than SWWM and Hallo Spaceboy... A Small Plot Of Land is a great track on it. The album wasn't all that well received at the time...I think it just came out 20 years too early! Thought she was great. Really enjoyed watching her. Looks like that was true right enoug and it's only now the death has been registered that it could be confirmed. There's yer dinner then AMJF! Karl "framing" his point to Tom was the best bit of the episode for me. I'd need to watch it again to check and be sure but I thought Kendall had tried to free him from the car initially so might have loosened his seat belt which meant he was free from the passenger seat. It's obviously 100% not another way of mentioning racial issues. If I'd meant racial issues, I'd have said it specficially. I'm including all issues where the show focussed on points that drive an audience, who were initially enjoying the show, away. You sound awfully bitter and I'm sorry that you have to live with some horrific views thrown at you on a daily basis and I understand your anger but it's misplaced at me here. I'm not white for starters. I'm also a minority in my country too. FWIW, my wife has the exact same issue with the show and got bored of it so your "sexism" part of the complaint really goes out the window there too. You've missed the point with regards to what the core audience of the show liked and that it disappeared up its own arse. It's clear that this was reflected in viewing figures as they dipped year on year. The ratings were 6s and 7s in the first season, 5 in the 2nd, 4s and 3s in the 3rd, 3s in the 4th and 3s and 2s in the 5th. The show would have gone on for years and years if the ratings remained at the level they were at in the first season or two. Your myopic view of how these are only "American" issues speaks volumes. You'll have to explain to me how calls for better health care in other countries don't affect people beyond your location. It’s not even so much the content that's the issue at points. It’s the WRITING. The speeches from Max do nothing to engage the audience which is why the figures were driven down. This is entertainment. It's not politics, so if you want people to listen to the points being made, it has to engage. You can’t be surprised people switch off when the entertainment is unenjoyable. You seemed to have given enough of a damn to reply to a post from last year. I hope you find peace. Ah, yes. Sorry. 3 indeed. I'm sure this is the Australian TM page. It just doesn't list it in the header. Each of the various country ones are listed by the date they first aired. The NZ and Oz shows are both filmed at the same location to add to the confusion, haha. I'm fully expecting another NZ series with Jeremy and Paul presenting. They must just film them at different times and use the same location.
