Of course Isaac’s Moon Knight has a future in this franchise (well, hopefully). But while season 1 might’ve not won everyone over (never expected it to), it’s rightfully being praised by critics AND audiences (at least from what I’ve seen on social media and places like good ol’ Rotten Tomatoes - never take this site into account!). For a hugely unknown character, looks to me like Moon Knight has been a success. The buzz is real.
At any rate, I certainly expect the great Oscar Isaac to be back whether it’s in a season 2 (I think it’s likely to happen - or not) and/or other MCU projects.
It said it’s old school tho. Well… how radical, brah!
Okay, well that’s you and A LOT of whiners up on this site! (Old is the mind killer.) But “unproven”? Lol…. just cuz you’re proudly out of touch and close-minded like so many up in this reactionary joint, doesn’t mean most people are.
Yea, but can’t bring yourself to view this celebrated film but yet at the same time it’s supposedly being “forced” on those like you (gawd, I love you real movie audiences not on these boards).
In closing…
Holy goddamn petty AF boomer xoomer, Batman! (This place obviously has no shortage of these.) Thank goodness these boards don’t represent most of society.
Yet for me it’s always been one of the best scenes in the movie. Can’t change my mind. ;)
But hey, this is still a slasher. Why should all the kills be connected anyway, know what I mean? Hehe.
Though I guess I can see where the OP was coming from, other than it being a well-known actress one would expect to have a bigger role in this (it’s been the Scream way since day 1), Cici definitely was killed for a reason. I enjoy Sarah’s screen time in this overall.
K.
But I mean, perhaps you shouldn’t. Not setting your expectations too high can actually be a good thing every now and then, ya know? :) Anyway, many on this site are (as always) setting their expectations low but only cuz of the usual film snob reasons (“back in my day!”) and all the other usual hogwash that’s spread ‘round here. Ehhhh
Or captured yet again. But I’m sure it’ll work out (knives crossed). Bring it on
Gone… Reduced to atoms.
Well, not quite. Next film should cover it.
To each their own.
Hold up… a hugely negative opinion (lazy takedown) that’s shared by some kool ones in the loud minority? Oh, rad! Finally! Super kool story, bro! (Actually one of the most boring AF.) This is not you showing how desperate you seem to want to dislike something so beloved.
*looks at the FILM’S reception again*
Yeah, well it’s definitely weakest material for the vast minority. Lol, had a bad time with it ya did.
As always though, good thing the overwhelming majority - justifiably - feels very differently than the likes of you and all the naysayers on sites like this one (unkool majority, we know, but dats how we roll). Bestest>
Over superhero films? Yeah, well keep hating on them like many kool pompous film snobs and Marvel detractors do; hate-watching stuff you’re apparently forced to watch is a thing for your type ‘course. Next!
🤠🤙
They are killing it!
What? Who? Where? Oh yeah, chuds. Wasn’t even expecting much from them (not cuz I’m one of the “awaken” kool broflakes who consider old timey reactionary jokes real comedy), but I’m digging them.
But ah you mediore reich wing propagandist broflakes… keep the meltdowns coming! (No need to tell you that of course.) It’s yer favorite time of the year in entertainment — THE woke boogeyman event of the year has arrived and you’re as usual hate-watching and crying salty fascist tears (like always). Reich wing Twitter aside, Fox, The Daily Hate, and all the reich pill “journalists” will predictably spend tomorrow crying and fear-mongering about THE reich wing-unfriendly entertainment event held by the big bad non-regressive folks in Tinseltown.
(Wow, like they do every day about everyone not on the Reich.) Update: Well looks like the Fresh Prince has spiced things up for the reich pillers.
Though… dEsPeRaTe AtTeMpT to kEeP wOkE? CaNcElLEd? Is that so, Towie?
Dat broken record broflake edge yo! Lmao… as if reich wing magat-disapproved Hollywood was gonna regress to, well, un-woke. And like they legit need to try hard to make ya chuds have meltdowns over the whole old skkkool thing not being championed. Magatbabies please!
Anyhow! Keep threading on them, reich wing-triggering Hollywood and woke (non-reich wing) society in general!
You be the first here. Finally there’s someone who feels this way! :)
But agh… it ruined my childhood, I tell ya! RUINED. We TRUE fans should show these hacks how to really honor Wes and save our franchise! OUR! 😏
Anyways… I loved it. In fact, I’d say it sorta exceeded my expectations. That’s right. It’s easily the best one in the series since the original (I echo the sentiments of many on the more positive side obviously not on this site). *gasps*
Why dare be a fan of it? Ehh… why even justify it to the usual naysayers.
In any event, though it’s not without its flaws, I was indeed SATISFIED with it overall. And damn right I loved Billy’s daughter and found the killers themselves to be good (preferred them to the ones in the previous two films by far - Mikey Madison is perfection). Y’all really not looking forward to the next one? Well, you’ll no doubt hate-watch it anyway. Needless to say, I’m stoked for 6!
So one’s preference for this older film to the new unkewl stuff is what makes it hold up well even though for over a decade many have said the film shows its age. Lol. And no, many who say it’s dated don’t exactly say it’s a weak film now… it just doesn’t pack the punch it used to in the eyes of said many. I would dare to agree with that.
Now the opening scene holds up very well, sure. It’ll never age. But the rest of the film, while solid, hell no touches the recent best Marvel and even DC stuff. (And in some aspects, not even some of the lesser.) The X-Men franchise alone had much better offerings later on. But subjectivity, ya know? I mean films like Logan, Days of Future Past and First Class are highly regarded, they’re considered to be the best of the franchise by so many. Those like you, of course, disagree. In any case, safe to say in the majority you are not. But that’s okay, the kool crowd has got your back here.
I'm not fine with it AT ALL
Yeah…. you’ve made that (are making it) pretty clear. Preaching to everyone who was against the casting (particularly Holland’s casting) before and after the movie came out you are. Well me not being a fan of Wahlberg aside, too bad for y’all the casting can’t be changed. A better Drake for the sequel? Uh…
It’s pretty damn great, went to see it in theaters myself and bought it when it was released on home video. And you know, while it probably doesn’t get talked about as much as it should, it certainly didn’t fly under the radar when it came out. It was actually a big success both critically & financially in its own right, especially for an R rated comedy. People liked it indeed.
And I say better than most old comedies. Oh yes, I did! ;) Not the kool, appropriate thing to say in these circles, I know. Hehe.
Nuh uh https://i.gifer.com/origin/06/06e541aed1a9843a18a10599703ad735_w200.gif
Well Marky Mark can obviously only be Marky Mark (sometimes he’s ok at it, many times not lol). I’m fine with the casting regardless.
Well this is the place to ask such a question. You’ll definitely get the response you’re looking for in this reactionary magaT cesspool, though you clearly know that.
Lol…but what kinda question is that really, chud? Of course it’s not reich wing!!! Very, very few in this day and age are (thank the lawd!). U obviously know it’s super duper icky woke stuff, but naturally you gotta keep yer fellow fascists active up here and have them spew the same bs they do night and day. Well… sorry not sorry, projecting propagandist broflakes who have constant meltdowns over modern films & shows and the big bad woke boogeyman (non-nazi trumps and all non-back in my day fragile reactionary manbabies) in general. Yeah, so is it the reich pill brigade’s favorite buzzword? The predictable outrage you’re seeing from the usual scare-mongering broflakes up in this manbaby joint says yes. Reich wing chuds having nonstop meltdowns over broflake-unfriendly Hollywood’s agenda tho... LMFAO! Anyway, they do it without even trying but, yeah, keep making these reich pill clowns mad, broflake-unfriendly Hollywood!. This is the way..
But Holy predictably “hardcore” big bro, Batman! ZOOM! BOP! WHAM!
Tee-hee.
Well, I got time to spare up in this cesspool. (Not like there’s many real mature conversations happening.) Ok, hem. Now, imagine if those like It (the author behind this totally grown up post) had something surprising to say when it came to the obligatory, wildly desperate and tired AF Marvel diss? Trolls aside, cute how kewl hard bros truly believe such things. Aww, you so adult, y’all! Want a big boy bottle & lollipop to celebrate yer adult anti-Marvel flex? Aww. But as I stroll through the cesspool of trolls I just….. LMFAO!
Yes, but it’s evidently that time, baby. You know, that time when the kewl edgebro DC-sters (the ones besides the reich wing broflakes crying about the woke boogeyman 24/7!) like the super kewl big boy OP here… troll or not…. go after big bad Marvel (these “hardcore” edge bros are mad obsessed with such a “kiddie” franchise, huh? “Strangely” lives rent free in the heads of these hateful big kids) cuz yet another DARK & GRITTY (so adult hardcore xxx radical, bro! Ground-breaking, too!) DC joint came out. Yup, it’s that time indeed. Zzz!
Meh, what only happens every time ANY new live-action comic joint comes out that insecure manchildren can only get down with cuz it doesn’t embrace what unkewl fantastical comics have done for decades and stuff, and when it’s a dark DC property in particular, of course the likes of K here gotta flex their pompous boomer-thang to their rivals. Funny though, how some of these GRITTY AND GRIM AS HELL IT MAKES YOU QUESTION YOUR OWN MATURITY comic joints are anything but ground-breaking and are actually borrowing heavily from cinema snob-approved big boy films (and thus can’t form their own identity like kewl anti-comic comic film Joker) but that’s a big part of the reason why super big boys who hate fun and live in the dark apparently especially love these kinds of non-Marvel comic joints.
But yes, oh kewl unoriginal edgebro. What would you be if U didn’t go after that unkewl franchise that’s here to stay no matter how many kewl old miserable farts & old miserable fart-minded edge bros whine about it? Well, not a kewl tired old edgebro and that would be unkewl. If some pompous professional critics with sticks up their butts always boringly trash Marvel when reviewing a comic joint from a different studio (hilarious how to the truly hardcore film snobs of the world like Scorsese, ALL comic fare is ultimately all the same cuz no real sanctimonious grown ups should appreciate stuff that comes from apparently kids literature), naturally the kewl edge bros in places like these will do it like no one else.
Aight, you be yer kewl small-minded self. You’re in good big boy company up here. Unkewl ones like me, though, can appreciate it all (as long as it’s good). Marvel kids you think about all the time… u pervert… running scared tho? Aww, well reality-rejection is a thing in these boards. When the next unkewl Marvel joint comes out though, kewl shit-talking from the big boys like youse up here will be, like it is now, irrelevant. See ya, Kherwhack.
Kewl mature itty bitty gritty big boy story, bro
I’d like to bet, or at least hope, that the newest Batman will blow these two out of the water! :) I feel I’ll certainly like it better at any rate. And no, not cuz it’ll be dark and gritty (which automatically makes everything better for certain comic film fans).
That said… more like well done James Gunn! The Suicide Squad 2021 and this show were 100% James Gunn. And I definitely like a bunch of DC films (there have been better offerings than this), so not trying to take anything away from them, but Gunn is truly the reason they turned out the way did. Hell, they were only made in the first place cuz he wanted to make them. Needless to say, DC wouldn’t have delivered something like this had another director and writer handled them (and I didn’t totally love either but Gunn unsurprisingly delivered the goods and brought something fresh to this franchise).
I agree it’s… properly rated. Dark
Knight Rises was a big step down.
Oh, that’s just a majority opinion. Don't mind me.
Now of course, I see yer with the kkkewl crowd. In that case, go do what many in this broflake nazipalooza chud cesspool do best — scare monger and cry excessively about the woke boogeyman (in other words, non-Reich wingers) and scream Reich wing buzzwords this and that. Stay angry, fragile and petty, don’t-inconvenience-me-maga-Putin-lapbabies. Now you’re in very good mediocre white broflake company here, butklan. But evidently and fortunately, Hollywood (and so much of modern society that lives rent free in yer “tough” head) will keep triggering yer lot for all the right reasons forever. Thank fuck they are triggering the REICH people.
