He quit making movies for a while after that. Devastated probably seemed like a small word to him at the time.
For women there's something called "widow's brain." I went through it recently. It's a protective mechanism against the worst of the grief. I don't know if there's a "widower's brain," but if there is, he wouldn't have been capable of making movies during that time.
The term was "medical condition." You said it wasn't. But nice try at moving the goal posts so you could claim you were right.
Amen to that!
I wish he was! All the old threads weren't transferred over, and as long as this has been here on MovieChat, this is only the second thread. There should be more. A lot more.
I think he probably wanted to go out on top.
That doesn't mean you're an illegal immigrant. In fact, if you'd been paying attention with that great comprehension of yours, I took time to explain that if I thought the stuff they were spewing on MSNBC was true, that I'd get put in a concentration camp, I'd be hot-footing it to another country, pronto. And I'm not an illegal. It's just what a person would do if there were real reason to go off on social media as if your hair were on fire.
Didn't read the rest because arguing with you is like arguing with a monkey who throws his own dung.
You think you win against everyone because they eventually get fed up and walk away. Well, little boy, no one plays with you because you're a bully with no logic, just F-bombs and insults. Now spike the ball and claim victory. Don't forget to throw a few insults in. Then tell yourself you "won," and you're "tough," you keyboard warrior, you!
Only liberals believe he was.
It used to be called something else, but Musk is in love with the DOGE name. He's also way too in love with the X name, but I digress.
I think everyone with power should be watched like a hawk.
George W. Bush gave us warrantless surveillance in his President's Surveillance Program, and Obama took it to great heights as Edward Snowden told us all. The government already HAS all your info. So do the banks, PayPal, Facebook and dozens of other companies we hope are as secure as they tell us they are, and only have our best interests at heart. But let's get scared of Elon Musk because he used to be a good lib, but he jumped the reservation after voting for Obama, and now is on Trump's side. No one cared about him before. And no one cares about Zuckerberg, now. But they ought to.
I do hope, rather than just spreading paranoia over the guy who was one of the most beloved liberals of all time, so long as he was a liberal, that people cut off the 8 million dollars a day flowing into his pocket and start asking why he needs government money for his successful car company, and his Space-X program, and who knows what all else. It's corporate welfare, which also rose to great heights under Obama and Biden. But we need to stop it. Why is going to Mars an absolute good? It isn't.
It's annoying having an argument with someone who can't finish a sentence without dropping the F-bomb, and yet here we are.
Where did I say you were an illegal immigrant?
I also love people who argue the liberal viewpoint, then swear they're not a liberal.
I hope you're better talking about movies than you are discussing politics.
Ah. You're forgetting the wonderfulness that is David Hogg! Perhaps you heard what the Ragin' Cajun had to say about him.
Eye-rolling, too. This is going to feel good! I asked my good friend, Grok, Elon's AI if Autism was a medical condition. This is the response:
"Autism is indeed considered a medical condition. It's classified under Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), which is used by medical professionals to diagnose and treat mental health conditions. Autism affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave. It's a spectrum disorder, meaning it affects individuals in different ways and to varying degrees."
Is there anything else you'd like to be wrong about?
They were truly bizarre.
Do you suppose the Dems threw the election? I mean, they went out of their way to get the worst candidates and handle everything as badly as possible.
He's on the spectrum. Do you usually make fun of people with medical conditions?
I don't know any Republicans who are angry with Trump for what he's doing. In fact, one gal who'd been root-hog-'n'-die for DeSantis said if she knew how Trump was going to come out swinging like this, she wouldn't have backed anyone else in the primaries. Me, I'd like to see them look into the cost/feasibility of going to Mars and whether we REALLY want to spend all that taxpayer money on it. I don't, and I think someone needs to sit "Crazy Elon" down and explain the facts of life to him. He begrudges others from sucking on the government teat when he does it himself. Well, let's look into his part in draining taxpayers dry.
But other than that, I don't have a problem with what Trump is doing. A little problem with what Elon's doing, but not Trump.
If I believed I was going to a concentration camp or was fighting for my life, like someone said today, you BET I'd be going to another country.
Vivek got fired, and to allow him to save face they let him say he had to quit to campaign for the governorship of Ohio. You've noticed all that campaigning he's been doing. No? That's because he was fired. He was the co-director of DOGE. If Vivek can get fired, so can Elon. But Elon's doing his job -- delivering on finding waste and fraud in government.
I remember when you libs were saying that Trump was going to be a dictator. Now you're saying that Trump isn't in charge, Elon is. And you base it, bless your heart, on the fact that the famously iconoclastic Musk came to the presser dressed in a jacket and a tee shirt. Know the personalities of the people involved. Trump's in charge, Musk is a staffer who's an adviser. Musk is on the spectrum. He acts differently from the rest of us. You can't apply our rules to him.
He's a White House staffer who's carrying out one of the things Trump ran on, making government efficient. First you find out where the waste is, then you cut it. Et voilĂ , efficiency.
But if you believe that America is going to go down the tubes and Musk will be dictator of America, where are you moving to? I knew a woman who lived in Alabama and believed Trump was going to be a dictator and she was going to go to a concentration camp. But she didn't move out of the country. If you really believed it to be true, you wouldn't wait to go to the gas chambers. You liberals are all running around with your hair on fire, but I don't think you really believe what you're saying.
His wife looks like a victim of battered woman syndrome.
Before he got permanently banned.
I get that he's bipolar or something, but he's rich enough (though I don't know how) to hire people to babysit him so when he's having a manic episode he doesn't tear up his reputation, such as it is, by posting swill on social media.
Good "Christian," though. Remember, he said he was a Christian, and there are a lot of people who don't read the Bible who say we're supposed to believe anyone is a Christian who says they are. There are literally BOOKS in the Bible that are devoted to NOT believing someone's a Christian just because they say they are. SMH. "Conservative Christian" David A. French chewed us all out for being skeptical of Kanye's profession. We were "hateful." No, we were exerting the discernment the Bible tells us we're supposed to. And it turns out we were right.
That was the cover story. They usually come up with a story that allows everybody to save face. Word was they'd had it with Ramaswamy. He probably could have kept his position, except he seemed to want to use it as a means to enhance his visibility and claim all the credit.
