Came late to the party, as always. I just watched it. Well, some ideas scratching my brain rn: 1. Man, Dude has some skills in interior design. To be an untreated schizophrenic, he's very neat. Great sense of colour btw, he could make a living that way if the superhero thing doesn't work. 2. Points on "Radiohead - The Daily Mail". 3. It wears a human face. 4. Extra points for "You're adopted", I said it for fun and it turned out to be real. Maybe I saw this chapter before and I don't remember... 5. People keep talking about some random guy from the comics called "Shadow King". Well, I have no idea who he is or what he does but he should consider doing some aerobics and treating that anaemia. Looks horrible. 6. I like the fact that D3 is no longer 'a real threat' because that only means it's David vs. David. It couldn't be better from my perspective. 7. This chapter was def one of the darkest but somehow it manages to go truly hilarious many times (maybe more than ever IMO). Special points for that. 8. So... Three chapters to go and things getting weirder than usual. My cup of tea. I'm seeing at least two more plot twists before the end, so I'll consult my pillow about it. PS. Sorry to have written the whole damn thing as a numbered list but my mind's rambling lately, so I need to put some order on my thoughts. Cheers! Very beautiful chromatism indeed, the Mary Quant brushstrokes were a nice touch. The sister looked lovely. ? Doesn't surprise me. They gave [Best Actor] to another one that same night. LOLx2 LOL No, it's just a thought, I mean, what I'll remember about this movie the most is the 45-day period. It reminds me something quite funny people use to say to you if you're around 30: "Darling, why haven't you had kids yet? What are you waiting for?" or "When are you going to get married?". I believe the film itself tries to convey society's superficial pov on relationships and the fact that there are no real rules for love. I understand why you didn't like it: It's repetitious, at times slow and plain weird/absurd, but it worked for me in this case because that's how I feel about the whole relationships bs. ♫ Holding - Grouper Well, luckily for us, we don't have 45 days or something to fall in love. I'll always remember that. That is indeed true. I certainly found it refreshing and at times funny, full of quirks and questions till the end of the thing. Need to ask, did you hate the ending? Agreed. Jessica Jones and Daredevil are quite good examples of this evolution, previously seen on Nolan's Batman for instance. One of the things I like the most about it is the fact that they're portraying real people and their complex (and especially, not that complex) issues, which is something I hadn't been able to see clearly before this. Jessica Jones is an imperfect person doing the best she can and so is Luke and Murdock. They feel more real, and that's why people are loving them this much. Exactly. Just checked some pictures to find the gap... no luck. (lol) Did we watch the same movie? I still find hilarious the kitchen memories. Although a total mess, nothing actually broke. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5114356/mediaviewer/rm1445018880 On the other hand, I don't remember seeing a single phone so far, do you? Well, everything seems outdated for today's standards, so my answer's going to be... no. (it's a trap) I thought the book was an allegory of something I couldn't see, but now that I know the dog isn't real AND Lenny is actually Benny, I don't know what to think... God, I love this feeling, it's like Mr. Robot without hacking. The paranoia remains. I... I have no idea. Just something that crossed my mind. The book has been shown inside David's mind only, so I thought it could be a product of it, you know, like a metaphoric element and not just a real book. Same with the faceless father. Anyways, let's keep talking in the chapter thread. Lol I love finding reviews like this one, they're refreshing. Please, don't be. I appreciate the effort your doing in here. See you around. What if the book it's an allegory?
